Cantina del Conte

In 1921 Francesco Pelissero buys the farm and the first vineyards. In a few years he begins the production of Dolcetto and Barbera wines. The entrepreneurial ability, dedication and great attachment to the land of his son Sergio boosted the activity. Between the 60s and 70s Sergio bought more vineyards in the wine-growing hills of Grinzane Cavour, he built up newer and more modern plants and opened up a shop, La Cantina del Conte (The Count's Cellar), where people could taste and buy his wines. Today Sergio and his family are still in this wonderful business following with great love and passion all stages of the wine-production process, from the vineyard to the bottle in accordance with the best and most traditional production techniques. At The Count's Cellar you will discover the great red wines of the Langhe from their products: Dolcetto, Barbera, Nebbiolo and then conclude with Barolo and Barbaresco.
