Castelletto d'Erro
Population 155, it's one of the peaks of this mountain area coloured by lavender fields. What to see: the medieval fortress now is just a square tower. The Assunta church contains a painting ascribed to Pietro Ivaldi called "il Muto" (the Mute"). Visit Sant'Onorato, a small chapel 1 km far from the village.
Montechiaro d'Acqui
The village is 15 km from Acqui Terme. The highest part is on the crest between Bormida and Erro Valleys: the landscape is astonishing. Its main features are the cobblestones streets, the vaults, the staircases made of sandstone. All of the houses are made of stones with plaques, gates and emblems with signs of the past centuries. You can visit the parish curch of Saint George (16th Century) and the Saint Catherine oratory, the latter is now the Peasants' Museum.
Ponti
During the Roman Age via Aemilia Scauri passed here. An original mileston was found here and is now protected under the City Hall arcades. Visit the ruins of the Marquis of Carretto castle and the parish church of the Assunta. It is a dive into the sea colored in green and blue, the itinerary that starts from Torre Lapillo to reach Nardò through the flourishing Salento countryside.
The endless pine forest surrounding the bay of Porto Selvaggio indicates that you are in the heart of the Porto Selvaggio and Palude del Capitano Park. From tower to tower, you pedal just a few meters from the long white beaches protected by imposing dunes, projecting onto the magical sea of the Porto Cesareo Marine Protected Area.
This route starts and ends in Porto Cesareo.
You pass through these municipalities: Torre Lapillo, Villaggio Boncore, Nardò, Cenate, Torre Inserraglio, Sant'Isidoro, Torre Squillace, La Strea.
You mainly cycle on asphalt roads, about 75%, but also on dirt roads.
Traffic is light along almost the entire route. In the months of July and August, the stretch on the coastal road is instead characterized by heavy traffic.
Porto Cesareo Marine Protected Area
The Porto Cesareo Marine Protected Area is a natural jewel located along the Ionian coast of Puglia, in the province of Lecce. This precious marine ecosystem, established in 1997, extends for about 17 kilometers along the coast, protecting a vast area of crystal-clear sea and rich seabeds full of biodiversity.
The waters of the Porto Cesareo Marine Protected Area are characterized by extraordinary transparency and a varied marine fauna, including species of colorful fish, mollusks, crustaceans, and algae. The seabeds are dotted with meadows of oceanic posidonia, which play a fundamental role in the ecological balance of the sea and in protecting the coast from erosion.
In addition to its extraordinary natural beauty, the Porto Cesareo Marine Protected Area also offers the opportunity to visit enchanting white sandy beaches and discover ancient archaeological sites that testify to human presence in these lands since ancient times.

Sport have always been very important in Barcelona, even in Roman times. Much later, at the beginning of the 20th Century, football became the major sport in Barcelona. Barça was its main team, and it became a symbol, the national team of Catalonia. That’s why we built el Camp Nou, the biggest Football Stadium in Europe.
But the most important transformation of the city took place during the 80’ and 90’ with the 1992 Olympics: new beaches and harbours, awesome buildings, great opportunities. The main Olympic sites were the Ring at Montjuïc, and the Vila Olimpica and its harbour, both reachable with our e-bikes.
Along our tour we will see all these famous places, giving you a fully understanding of the recent history of Barcelona, that made it so famous all over.

E-bike Tour
The e-bike tour is ideal for a full-day excursion, discovering Roero and its wooded landscapes. The e-bike tour is not technical in nature, making it suitable for anyone who wants to spend a day immersed in wild nature while discovering typical Piedmontese products and folklore, searching for traces of the Masche.
The Masche
This e-bike route is designed to evoke ancient atmospheres and visit places where you can relive the mysterious atmospheres of ancient legends of Masche, the Piedmontese witches. The Masche are indeed witches but they aren't always malevolent or evil entities. Piedmontese Masche are mischievous, capricious - be careful not to make them angry, as they become vindictive. Unlike regular witches, Masche can also be good; they are healers, capable of curing people and animals, and can even save lives in danger.
Even today, sayings and expressions about them are still used, the most famous being "There are Masche around," typically used when something disappears, objects fall inexplicably, or strange noises are heard in the attic or between the beams and roofs of ancient houses. With an adventurous spirit, hop on the electric bike in search of the Masche!
Departure from Bra Train Station
The bike itinerary ideally starts from Bra; arriving at Bra railway station is convenient, where you can pick up your pre-booked e-bike and start your day tour. Bra is the birthplace of Slow Food and is famous for its cheese. The Cheese festival brings together enthusiasts and producers from around the world. Year-round, you can taste the famous "Bra Duro" and "Bra Tenero" cheeses accompanied by Bra sausage, another culinary excellence of the city. During the warm season, you can stop at a deli to buy Bra cheese and sausage, prepare a good sandwich, and enjoy a break from cycling by stopping along the way for a picnic.
Pocapaglia and the Masca Micillina
On the e-bike, you reach Pocapaglia, home of Masca Micillina, one of the most famous, if not the most famous, Masca of Piedmont. Pocapaglia is the heart of Roero, its countryside dominated by the "Rocche," harsh hills of sand and clay that, together with the immense wooded lands, make the panorama unique, creating a fantasy fairy-tale landscape. Could these natural elements have created the right atmosphere for the legend? If you've visited the Barbaresco Langa, you've surely seen the Rocche of the Seven Brothers and Lady of Langa, also "Rocche" but completely different. The trail followed by e-bike continues through woods and cultivated fields; among rustling leaves and singing wind, you might (perhaps) hear the voice of Masca Micillina.
Masca Micillina (Michelina) was born in Barolo and married a farmer from Pocapaglia. The poor woman had a frightening appearance: she was small, with a wrinkled face, almost bald, even toothless, and when she walked, she had a slow and crippled gait - in short, the classic witch appearance.
It wasn't her appearance that earned her the "title of Masca," but rather a series of discomforts and strange events she caused to the village inhabitants. One day a young man crossed her path, fell, and while running away in fear, noticed he had one foot facing forward and one backward; another time, Micillina touched a girl's back, and the next day she started developing a hump, and there were more such incidents...
To these strange events was added Micillina's ability to avoid being found by anyone, not even her husband, who spread the word that he had married a Masca.
Micillina was condemned to burn at the stake, and the sad sentence was carried out in Pocapaglia on the hill now called Bric d'la Masca, where some dark spots can still be seen today (many believe it's blood, but it's actually oxidized iron). This is an excellent panoramic point to stop and admire the landscape, listen to the sound of the wind, and who knows, maybe hear Micillina's voice!
Sommariva Perno
Continuing pedaling on the e-bike, you encounter woods and steep cliffs near the Rocche, alternating with fields and cultivated areas; surely the harsh and wild landscape gave the right popular inspiration to the birth of Masche legends. The landscape changes completely near Sommariva Perno, where the countryside is populated with vineyards and numerous orchards, and how can we not mention the famous and sweet strawberries of Sommariva Perno. During strawberry season, a stop at local producers for a delicious snack is highly recommended. The bike ride continues towards the villages of Baldissero d'Alba, Monteu Roero, and Ceresole d'Alba.
Sommariva Del Bosco
The final stop of the self-guided e-bike tour is Sommariva del Bosco or Sommariva Bosco, the border gate of Roero. Sommariva Bosco hosts the important fair "Amè l'Amel" (Love Honey), during which you can find local and non-local producers specialized in beekeeping offering the chance to taste many different kinds of honey. If the bike ride doesn't coincide with the fair, it's possible and recommended to stop at local producers and taste the excellent honey of Sommariva Del Bosco directly on-site. On the bike, you return to Bra, the beginning and end of the electric bike tour.

BRACCIANO / ANGUILLARA
A spectacular stage all around Lake Bracciano, to discover its treasures scattered around the villages that overlook it, almost entirely on roads without traffic, bridleways and dirt paths but easy to follow. From Bracciano we exit northwards following the railway line along dirt roads or dirt roads, in the thick of the woods that hide the panorama of the lake and then make it appear suddenly from time to time: we thus arrive in Manziana, a beautiful village near the centuries-old forest of the same name, and then via a bridleway in the countryside to the Antica Monterano, ghost town that knew various eras, each of which has left a mark of its passage: from the Etruscan tombs to the Roman walls, passing through the papal aqueduct and a couple of sculptures by Bernini and the evocative ruins of the seventeenth-century Church of San Bonaventura, which remained so since the town was abandoned following the Napoleonic invasion. Still passing through dirt roads and dirt roads we arrive in Oriolo Romano, another charming village on the northern side of the lake, and from here we take the cycle path of the woods, which crosses the chestnut groves of Calandrina and then descends to Trevignano Romano, right on the shores of Bracciano. To avoid the busy lakeside promenade up to Anguillara, we use a suggestive detour always traced on dirt roads, the cycle path of the lakes, which cuts the ridge between Lake Bracciano and that – smaller but equally fascinating – of Martignano.

Alice Bel Colle is a town of less than 800 inhabitants, mostly perched on top of a hill. Going up the steps in Piazza Guacchione it is possible to reach a panoramic viewpoint with a 360° view of the Monferrato hills: an incredible view, from Turin to Milan, from the Alps to the Ligurian Apennines. Indescribable in words.
After the obligatory stop at the viewpoint, it will be possible to continue the ride until you reach the town of Ricaldone.
What to see in Ricaldone
Once in Ricaldone it is impossible not to stop again on the belvedere at the entrance to the town to enjoy a breathtaking view of the surrounding vineyards.

The singer is buried in the cemetery, who died tragically in the night between 26 and 27 January 1967 during the Sanremo Festival.
Continuing the Tour you will arrive at the village of Maranzana.
Maranzana and the way back
Once in Maranzana, you cannot fail to notice a dense group of "babaci".
The latter, called in local jargon, are nothing more than fabric puppets made by the local inhabitants to repopulate the streets of the village which were emptying.
Thanks to this recent discovery, Maranzana receives many visits from national and international tourists every year.
It is also possible to organize a tasting at the local Cantina Sociale La Maranzana, to taste the typical products of the area.
Continuing along the track, you will reach the town of Mombaruzzo Stazione again and then face a last climb that will allow you to reach the "crest" of the hill.
The last part of the ride will be flat until you get back to Casalotto, but not before having evaluated a visit/tasting to the prestigious Berta Distilleries located along the way.
