The Visconti Castle of Vogogna
The castle is located in the heart of Val d'Ossola and represents a testament to medieval architecture in Piedmont. The castle was built in the 14th century by the Visconti family and, thanks to its elevated position overlooking the access routes, served the purpose of control and defense. The structure is characterized by imposing stone walls and crenellated towers.
