The GRAB, the Great Ring Road for Bikes, is a participatory project aimed at creating a cycling and pedestrian ring accessible to everyone, stretching for 45 kilometers within the city of Rome. It is a lightweight and highly environmentally, socially, economically, and culturally viable infrastructure, a useful public work designed to enhance the places it traverses without adding volumes and concrete in a heavily built-up area. It crosses the entire city from the center to the outskirts, passing along a unique and fascinating cycle path.

Once completed, the pedestrian and cycling ring will offer the country a unique and irreplaceable greenway, conveying the idea of a welcoming, healthy, and modern city to both residents and tourists. The GRAB concept is the result of collective work coordinated by VeloLove, involving citizens, committees, associations, and institutions, foremost among them Legambiente, Touring Club Italiano, Vivilitalia, Free Wheels Onlus, Open House Roma, TeamDev, Parco Regionale dell'Appia Antica, and Roma Natura.
