Ravenna the Pineta San Vitale and the Pialassa Baiona - Northern ring

Ring itinerary surrounded by nature, starting from the Mausoleum of Theodoric in Ravenna, after leaving the city center, crossing the shopping area, you reach the entrance to the historic Pineta San Vitale. The itinerary continues along dirt paths immersed in the vegetation with the bottom not always very smooth due to the presence of sand. You arrive at the Ca Vecchia station of the forest guard from which numerous paths depart that lead from the dense vegetation to the reeds of the Piallassa Baiona, a rich variety of environments rich in biodiversity that alternate along the route. The itinerary continues on the Via della Valli road that leads to Marina Romea where a nature trail begins that runs along the entire Piallassa Baiona up to Porto Corsini. Here you cross the canal port with the ferry to reach Marina di Ravenna with its tourist port, after passing the center the itinerary continues inside the pine forest to Punta Marina where you take the cycle path that leads to the center of Ravenna.
