Panchina gigante rossa (Clavesana - Gorrea)

The red giant bench in Clavesana, in Borgata Gorrea, is part of the Big Bench Community Project created by Chris Bangle. It is the first one built by the artist and is the one from which the project started. The installation of the red Big Bench in Clavesana took place in 2010, and many more have followed and will continue to follow. The idea behind the project of the giant benches, with their disproportionate dimensions, encourages a change in perspective for the visitor. By sitting on the large bench, located in a panoramic spot immersed in the sounds of nature, the visitor is pleasantly surprised by the diversity of proportions. While admiring nature, memories of childhood come to mind, when everything seemed big and life was carefree. Its founder, Chris Bangle, wants to encourage us to observe the world through the eyes of a child, capable of marveling at the beauty of the landscape and seeing the world with fresh eyes.
