Cycling through the Langhe hills on an e-bike is always an exciting adventure, but this route offers a unique experience that goes beyond traditional boundaries. Starting from the famous vineyard-covered hills, the journey takes you towards new horizons, exploring the transition between the Langhe and the Cuneo plain. As you move away from the classic vineyard panoramas, you'll discover a gradually transforming landscape, offering breathtaking views of the plain and, on clear days, the majestic Alps in the distance. This itinerary is an invitation to explore the diversity of the territory, combining the beauty of the UNESCO Langhe with the surprising variety of Cherasco and Narzole.

La Morra

La Morra, known as the "balcony of the Langhe", is the ideal starting point. From the UNESCO Viewpoint in Piazza Castello, you can admire a panorama that embraces the entire region. Stroll through the historic centre and visit the Tourist Office for detailed information about the area. Descending towards the Brandini locality, you'll be surrounded by vineyards producing some of the Langhe's finest wines.

Cherasco

Cherasco welcomes you with its historical and gastronomic charm. The Visconti Castle, built in 1348, is surrounded by a picturesque avenue of Napoleonic plane trees. The town is famous for its "baci", delicious chocolates that you can taste in the historic pastry shops of the centre. Don't miss the opportunity to explore the ancient streets, rich in noble palaces and baroque churches.

Narzole

Narzole marks the border between the Cuneo plateau and the Langhe. Here the landscape changes: vineyards give way to hazelnut groves, woods and wheat fields. The quiet country road offers panoramic views of the Langhe hills on one side and the Alps on the other, with the Tanaro River flowing below. It's a perfect place for a refreshing break, immersed in nature.

Novello

Novello, the final point of your journey, welcomes you with its neo-Gothic castle, an architectural gem that dominates the surrounding landscape. Built on the remains of an ancient medieval manor, today it houses a hotel and restaurant. The main square of the village is the ideal place to relax and reflect on the experience, perhaps whilst enjoying a glass of Nascetta, the local white wine.

The Experience

This 31 km route is an adventure accessible to all thanks to e-bikes, which make even the most challenging stretches manageable. Starting from Novello and crossing La Morra, Cherasco and Narzole before returning to the starting point, you'll discover the rich diversity of a territory that goes beyond the boundaries of the classic Langhe. It's a journey that combines the pleasure of cycle tourism with the discovery of surprising landscapes, food and wine traditions, and architectural gems, offering a unique experience that broadens your knowledge of this wonderful region.
