Tipi Percorsi
ANGUILLARA / ROME THE VIA FRANCIGENA AND THE VEIO PARK
The last stage of the GTL (or the first, if you decide to leave northwards: it is not one-way!) largely exploits the route of the Via Francigena, in the last stretch of the long journey of the pilgrims who arrived in the Holy City. From Anguillara we pass through roads with little traffic near Lake Martignano – depending on the season, it will be more or less pleasant to stop for a swim – and then follow the course of the Cremera stream to the beautiful Sorbo Valley, where the Sanctuary of the Madonna del Sorbo stands. From here we can follow the GPS track and the sporadic indications of the Francigena up to the Veio Park, a city conquered by the Romans in the royal period, whose traces remain in an important archaeological site. We continue our journey towards the city through green patches and streams, along paths that are sometimes bumpy but always fascinating, up to the village of Isola Farnese and the Mola Waterfalls. At this point we still follow the course of the Cremera through secondary roads up to the point where it plunges into the Tiber becoming a tributary: we are now at the gates of the GRA, which we cross with an underpass, and in the northern suburbs of the capital: the entrance to the center is the task of the Tiber ridge, a cycle artery that runs along the river offering unexpected Roman views, from a perspective where traffic does not arrive. The routes to enter Rome include sections of Eurovelo 5 and Eurovelo 7.
a Empoli, in Val d'Arno
This panoramic and engaging route will take you to discover some of the most hidden wonders of the Ciociaria area.
The first stop you will encounter along the way includes the Natural Monument of the Caves of Falvaterra and Rio Obaco, an oasis surrounded by nature where you can visit the speleological complex or simply cool off in the waters of the small river that flows from inside.
After the first stop you will leave for Falvaterra, a small medieval village where time seems to have stopped: here you can leave your e-bike and stroll through the alleys and squares of the historic center, photograph the panoramic views of the Latin Valley and taste local products from Luca and Serena in their Bottega Coquinaria.
It's time to get back on the saddle: once you have passed the village you will take a flat and panoramic road that surrounds the whole mountain on your left until you descend directly into the heart of the second village crossed by this itinerary, San Giovanni Incarico. With your e-bike you will be able to comfortably explore both the lower part and its most perched historic center.
As soon as you pass the village you will find yourself in front of a crossroads: here, based on the degree of confidence taken with the e-bike and your physical condition, you can choose whether to make a small detour from the path traced on top of the mountain on your left, where the Sanctuary of the Madonna della Guardia stands out, offering an exceptional panoramic view over the Ciociaria area. In case you decide to reach it, just retrace the road in reverse to return to the route, otherwise you can directly continue the mapped itinerary.
From the village and above all from the Sanctuary of the Madonna della Guardia, you will have happened to throw your eye on the waterways that intertwine with each other: they are the Liri River and the Sacco River that meet and flow into the characteristic Lake of San Giovanni for its shape reminiscent of an octopus. The route continues along the entire lake until it joins the Via Francigena, in a stretch of road that is partly unpaved but easily accessible through the woods, along the crescent-shaped Lake of San Giacomo (it is no coincidence that you are in Via Guardaluna) and reaches the center of Ceprano.
Here you will cross its historic alley where the signs of ancient shops are still present, you will cross the square and reach the market area: if you are lucky enough to undertake this path on market day (Saturday morning) we advise you to stop by our friend Giò where you can taste its fantastic products at km0 (it is the first stand you will meet as soon as you pass the square).
Finally, you will travel the last 2 kilometers until you return to the rental point in Ceprano, where you will have showers and shaded areas to cool off and rest.

What to see in San Pellegrino Terme
A town famous throughout the world for its mineral water of the same name and for its thermal baths that enjoy thermal water that gushes out naturally at 26 degrees. San Pellegrino Terme underwent considerable development in the early 1900s, as evidenced by a number of buildings dating back to the Belle Époque in Art Nouveau style, such as the Casino, which can be visited during the summer, the Grand Hotel and the Spa. The Tempio dei Caduti (Temple of the Fallen), a monument dating back to 1924 and now housing the remains of those who fell during the two world wars, is also interesting.
What to see in San Giovanni Bianco
San Giovanni Bianco is a small town in Val Brembana that owes its name to the town's patron saint and to the presence of numerous outcrops and quarries of light-coloured limestone. The town has a medieval layout and its numerous Romanesque bridges are still passable. In recent years, considerable investments have also been made in the development of the via Priula, built during the 16th century to give Venice, then ruler of the area, a commercial outlet to the north without having to pass through the territories of the Duchy of Milan, then under Spanish rule, with consequent duties amounting to as much as half the value of the cargo.
San Giovanni Bianco is set in a valuable naturalistic context in the middle of the Brembana valley and lying in a basin with imposing peaks, it offers excellent views and numerous possibilities for excursions to the surrounding mountains.
With the closure of the railway in 1966, it experienced periods of depopulation and closure to the outside world. Today, the presence of the Val Brembana cycle route is giving new impetus to tourism, becoming itself a destination for cycle tourism.
What to see in Cornello dei Tasso
Cornello is a village of medieval origin that owes its name to the ancient Tasso family, whose most famous member is undoubtedly Torquato Tasso. The Tasso family already had a company of 'post masters' in the mid-12th century and came to manage the mail service of the Habsburg Empire during the 16th century. In the Middle Ages, the village of Cornello was an important centre for trade and the passage of people and goods thanks to the presence of the via Mercatorum, the merchants' road, which connected Bergamo to Valtellina and linked some of the most important centres in the Brembana Valley.
When, in 1592, the construction of the Priula Road began, commissioned by the Venetian government to directly connect Bergamo to Valtellina without passing through Spanish territories, Cornello dei Tasso found itself isolated and lost its commercial importance, giving way to a period of decline. The new road, in fact, passed along the valley floor, separating the village from the new road system. The isolation of the village, however, favoured the preservation of its original urban structure, which, except for some alterations in the second half of the 20th century, still appears in its medieval appearance, a requisite that has allowed Cornello to be included among "The Most Beautiful Villages in Italy".

In azienda agricola
