Il percorso
L'itinerario può essere svolto da Alberese fino alla loc. di Collelungo (percorrendo la Strada degli Ulivi da Vergheria fino a Collelungo), oppure percorrendo la ciclabile fino a Marina di Alberese e successivamente, attraverso la strada della Pinastrellaia, si raggiunge la spiaggia di Collelungo.
Prima di raggiungere la spiaggia è presente una zona di sosta con rastrelliere dove è possibile lasciare le biciclette.
Nel percorre gli itinerari in bici si raccomanda la cautela, in quanto si sta visitando un'area protetta ed è presente la possibilità di incontrare fruitori di altre modalità di visita (a cavallo, a piedi).
È possibile noleggiare le biciclette nei pressi del punto di partenza tramite il nostro punto di Noleggio.
Il percorso è acquistabile sia online (minimo 24 ore prima della data prevista per l'escursione) sia al centro visite di Alberese.

Questo percorso, che attraversa si l'Appennino Ligure che quello Piemontese, ripercorre in gran parte le strade dell'Appennino Bike Tour ( promosso dal Ministero dell’Ambiente e Tutela del Territorio e del Mare, Confcommercio Imprese per l’Italia, Confcommercio Ascom Bologna e Vivi Appennino e per la prima volta viene percorso istituzionalmente nel 2017 dai rappresentanti di Istituzioni del territorio portando il drappo tricolore da Municipio a Municipio.),il Giro ,che nasce con il progetto di creare un Ciclo-Via d’Italia attraverso le strade secondarie dell’Appennino.
La partenza avviene nel punto di noleggio Bike Square di Cabella Ligure,di qui percorrendo la statale 140 si attraversa iL comune di Albera Ligure e da qui si gira a sinistra e si attraversa il centro abitato di Rocchetta ligure,da qui il percorso si fa piu' impegnativo ,ma decisamente piu' panoramico e si attraversa il comune di Roccaforte Ligure e Isola del Cantone ,qui l'impegno e' discontinuo ma elevato,ma il panorama e la natura incontaminata fa presto dimenticare la fatica.Attraversato l'abitato di Isola del Cantone ,si prosegue verso Ronco Scrivia (uno dei 40 comuni tappa del tour (Ronco Scrivia -Brallo di Pergola),da qui si entra nel Comune di Vobbia facente parte del Parco Regionale Regionale Naturale dell'Antola .Attraversato l'abitato del piccolo comune di Vobbia, si imbocca la strada sp.81 si trova circa a meta' strada tra l'abitato di Vobbia e la localita' Mulino di Salata di Mongiardino Ligure,che segna il confine tra Liguria e Piemonte sulla strada che conduce in Val Borbera. Attraversato un ponte e superato sulla sinistra il bivio per Arezzo, si costeggia sulla destra, il torrente Valenzona,sfiorando piccoli borghi rurali.Il territorio e' scarsamente popolato,la strada attraversa una serie di macchie boschive ,in prevalenza di latifoglie, interrotte da zone prative.Il fondo e' in buono stato fino a Valenzona .
Benche' la metasia ancora lontana ,appare gia' la Cappella di San Fermo ,altissima sul monte, qui oltre ad entrare nel territorio Piemontese e nel nascente Parco dell'alta Val Borbera, qui si attraversano sia i comuni di Mongiardino Ligure , Carrega Ligure .Il Valico di San Fermo si trova sotto la Cappella di San Fermo(1177 m )che e' raggiungibile grazie ad un ripido sentiero.Da qui si gode di una spettacolare vista sull'Appennino e sulle Alpi Occidentali.Il valico e' posto sul crinale dell'Antola, lungo un 'antica via del sale .Da qui si torna al punto di noleggio di Cabella Ligure.

Romanesque Church of Palagione
After visiting Volterra's historic center, the bike route continues gently descending into the verdant countryside, where cypress-lined avenues and olive groves create the quintessential Tuscan backdrop. The first destination, Palagione, emerges after about 5 kilometers of relaxed pedaling through this pastoral paradise. The highlight of Palagione is undoubtedly its exquisite Romanesque church, a masterpiece of medieval religious architecture dating back to the 12th century. Standing in serene isolation amid the surrounding fields, this ancient place of worship invites visitors to step back in time. The simple yet elegant façade of the church, characterized by local sandstone and precise geometric designs, exemplifies the Romanesque architectural style that flourished throughout Tuscany. Inside, the cool and silent environment offers a moment of rest and contemplation, while the ancient stone columns and surviving frescoes speak of centuries of devotion and artistic expression. Pignano
Leaving Palagione behind, with the e-bikes you effortlessly reach a landscape that unfolds like a living Renaissance painting. The route to Pignano follows ancient paths that have connected these settlements for millennia, offering constantly changing views of vineyards, wheat fields, and distant hilltop villages. After about 7 kilometers of gentle undulations, you arrive at Pignano, a perfectly preserved medieval village that seems frozen in time. This enchanting settlement, with its cluster of stone buildings centered around a historic manor house, embodies the timeless charm of rural Tuscany. Pignano's narrow cobblestone streets invite exploration, revealing hidden courtyards adorned with flowering plants and glimpses of daily life that have changed little over the centuries. The village's elevated position offers spectacular panoramic views of the surrounding countryside, with Volterra visible in the distance on clear days. A small café in the center of the village offers the opportunity to sample local specialties, including the region's renowned pecorino cheese, cured meats, and robust red wines.
The Natural Splendor of Mazzolla
The route skirts the edge of the Berignone Forest Nature Reserve, a protected area of remarkable biodiversity. Return to Volterra
The final stretch of the bike adventure toward Volterra opens up panoramic views of the Val di Cecina, with its mosaic of fields, olive groves, and vineyards stretching toward the distant horizon. The afternoon light bathes the landscape in a golden glow, creating perfect lighting conditions for photography enthusiasts. The ancient city of Volterra gradually appears, with its medieval towers and defensive walls silhouetted against the sky. Your approach takes you past the remains of the Etruscan necropolis, a poignant reminder of the three thousand years of continuous human habitation in this region. The route culminates in a truly spectacular finale with the entrance to Volterra through the iconic Porta all'Arco, an Etruscan gate dating back to the 4th century BC. This ancient portal, with its characteristic three weathered stone heads watching over all who pass beneath, provides an appropriate conclusion to a journey that has traversed both the physical landscape and the rich tapestry of history that defines this remarkable corner of Tuscany.

How to visit Canelli:
The track starts near the Amerio Vincenzo - Ca 'del Nono winery.
The route will take you to the small hamlet of Sant’Antonio, a small hamlet surrounded by a huge expanse of vineyards. From the church of Sant’Antonio Abate, proceed in the direction of Canelli, along a secondary road. Before starting the "descent" you could consider a detour to the famous Torre dei Contini. The Tower, dating back to 1617, delimited the boundaries of the municipality and served as a military lookout.
From here, it is possible to have a 360-degree view of the surrounding landscape, glimpsing the perfect meeting between the hills of Monferrato and Langhe.
Continuing the planned route you will arrive in the historic center of Canelli.
The town of Canelli is a small town of about ten thousand inhabitants that rises near the southernmost border of the Monferrato, a few steps from the province of Cuneo.
Canelli is historically divided into two parts: “Il Borgo” and “Villanuova”. The first, further down the valley, is the one that has continued to expand with the passing of time while the second, the oldest Canelli, lies on the slopes of the hill and is still dominated by its castle, actually Castello Gancia. The Borgo and Villanuova are connected by one of the historical elements of Canelli: La Sternia.
In the lower part of the city, down in the Borgo, from Piazza Amedeo D’Aosta you can take Via Giovanni Battista Giuliani. Continuing on this road and then turning onto Via Gioacchino Rossini, you will find yourself in Piazza San Tommaso. Here you will see the Church of San Tommaso on the left, from which the square takes its name, and further to the right the Church of the Annunziata. Between the two religious buildings begins the Sternia, a paved pedestrian street whose current name is via Villanuova.
The Sternia climbs up the hill, crosses the medieval part of the town, reaches Piazza San Leonardo, home to the church of the same name and that of San Rocco (recognizable because it is completely brick). From here the road continues uphill until it reaches the top, at the foot of what is now Castello Gancia.
The track we propose will give you the opportunity to go down this ancient part of the city.
The Castle of Canelli was the protagonist of a rather troubled history. Presumably born at the beginning of the eleventh century, the Canelli Castle originally had the purpose of defending the roads that led from Asti to Savona, essential for merchant traffic.
Subsequently the fortress has witnessed many struggles and battles that have caused repeated destruction and reconstruction, until 1929 when the Castle was purchased by the Gancia family and transformed into a large noble residence. Even today, the castle dominates the town from above and shows the Canellese and visitors its beautiful appearance of an eighteenth-century villa.
Unfortunately, as the private home of the Gancia family, the castle cannot be visited, however, at least one passage is required to admire it from the outside.
Asti Spumante is the symbol of Canelli and with it are also the places where the wine takes shape. The Underground Cathedrals are located in the Borgo and represent, in a certain sense, the buried counterpart of the town. These were recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site in 2014.
We are talking about ancient and incredibly large cellars, where the fine wines of the area are brought to rest and where they develop their peculiarities. The Underground Cathedrals of Canelli belong to four great historic wineries: Bosca, Contratto, Gancia and Coppo. Although in different ways, all 4 companies make their treasures open to the public.
Always starting from Piazza Amedeo D’Aosta, take Via Giovanni Battista Giuliani: here you will meet the Contract and Bosca companies. Continuing in the direction of Corso Libertà you reach the door of the Gancia winery. The Coppo winery, on the other hand, can be found in another area of ​​the Borgo, in via Alba.
Santo Stefano Belbo
Continuing along the track, you will cross the more modern and "industrial" part of Canelli.
A secondary road will take you to the town of Santo Stefano Belbo, making you arrive in the immediate vicinity of the birthplace of Cesare Pavese.
The famous writer Cesare Pavese, born here in 1908 and died in Turin in 1950, dedicated many of his autobiographical writings to his country of origin; the municipality transformed his birthplace into a museum dedicated to his works and youth. Pavese's remains, which remained in the monumental cemetery of Turin in the family tomb from his death until 2002, were transferred to the cemetery of his hometown in the same year.
Crossing the historic center of the town, the track climbs up a narrow hilly road until it reaches the Big Bench of Santo Stefano Belbo from which it is possible to admire a splendid view of the city below.
Continuing along the main road, the track will take you to the splendid Sanctuary of Caffi.
Cassinasco and the Sanctuary of Caffi
Tradition tells that the church was built in memory of the miracle that saw a 13-year-old young woman as protagonist, mute from birth, who saw the Madonna while she was grazing with her flock.
After the vision, the young woman would speak again.
The monument stands majestically in the midst of the surrounding wine landscape and a short stop here is definitely worth it.
Continuing, you will arrive at the town of Cassinasco.
You will find yourself in the blink of an eye in one of the highest municipalities in the province of Asti with its almost 500 meters above sea level.
From here, the route will take you around the Tower of the Old Castle, the only part that survived the sacking and fire of 1615 by the Savoy troops during the Monferrato War of Succession.
From here you will descend again towards the town of Canelli to get to cross the ancient part of San Marzano Oliveto and Moasca.
How to visit Moasca: on the way to home
In the center of the town there is the parish church dedicated to St. Peter and the Town Hall. The parish church dates back to the end of the seventeenth century and has considerable reasons of interest. To the left of the parish church, from the same period, stands the fine little church of San Rocco, in brick, with bell tower and portico, seat of the Battuti brotherhood.
The oldest part of the town, consisting of its Castle, is undoubtedly important.
The currently existing parts of the Moasca castle are what remains of the building built in 1351 as we learn from an enigmatic writing still placed today on the top of the entrance portal. The previous fortification was razed to the ground in 1308, after a long and difficult siege of which neither the origin nor the shape are known.
After a short stop / refreshment in the main square of the town, you can resume the path in the direction of the Ca 'del Nono Winery, from which you started.

If we advise you to rent an e-bike to explore Monte Tuoro, it is because it is one of the most beautiful mountains in the province of Avellino. Its special position will give you unforgettable breathtaking views and the variety of fauna and flora that populate it will make your ebike excursion unforgettable.
Monte Tuoro is a Site of Community Interest (SCI) and part of the Monti Picentini Regional Park.
It is an out-and-back route that includes the same itinerary. In addition to asphalt, the wheels of your ebike will pass over dusty or muddy (depending on the season) trails and wonderful gravel sections. Therefore, also due to some challenging uphill sections (in some places you will touch 15% gradient), this route is not suitable for pedal-assisted city bikes.
Please note: in many of the areas you will pass through, your mobile phone will not have coverage!
We therefore advise you to rent a Trekking ebike or, even better, to opt for the rental of a Focus Full Suspension e-MTB.
The starting point of the GPS track we are proposing is the e-bike hire point in Chiusano San Domenico, which is located in the centre of the village and is therefore a very easy reference point to locate.
However, if you prefer to start from the ebike rental point located at the Ciclostazione Avellino (Contrada San Lorenzo 18, Atripalda). add the AB/BA route (16.5 km) to this track to reach the bike rental point in Chiusano San Domenico.

Let's start!
Mount your bike and head for the upper part of the town. In the midst of the houses you will catch a glimpse of the ancient castle of Chiusano di San Domenico and, as you tackle the first few ramps, you will immediately understand what kind of day awaits you. The effort, however, will always be repaid by incredible views and unforgettable emotions.
The first 5 km will all be uphill, but since the entire GPS track is about 25 km, if you don't want to struggle, increase the power of your ebike: there's no danger of running out of battery! In any case, you will have plenty to distract you: the views and lush greenery will fill your eyes and mind.
When you come close to a hamlet (an accommodation facility not in operation at the time of writing), it means that the climb is coming to an end. Look for the best spot to take a souvenir photo of this day, choosing between a nature-themed background or a shot from above of Chiusano, Avellino, Montevergine and the Parthenio Park.
From here on, 3.5 km of flat land await you to be enjoyed. Listen to the silence and appreciate the solitude. The only people you might bump into are the Chiusanesi who go up the mountain for their farming activities or a few other cyclists.
At a certain point, when the navigator tells you to turn slightly right, say goodbye to the asphalt. A gravel section begins, which is a prelude to the most beautiful and exciting stretch of the day. Centuries-old beech trees, chestnut trees, luxuriant ferns, gravel, turkey oaks, mountain maples: all the way to the summit you will literally be immersed in nature. Thanks to the dense vegetation, the temperature is cool in summer and cold in winter, so make sure you are dressed appropriately.
Gather all possible details and glimpses with your eyes, but if you see something that interests you, better make a stop. In some sections the dirt road is challenging and deserves to be tackled carefully.
At a certain point the wheels of your ebike will return to asphalt and the climb will become challenging again.
When you get about 10 km from the start, you may find the road closed by a gate: don't worry! Open it and continue on your way, but don't forget to close it again after your passage! This is a boundary used by farmers to delimit the pastures of the cows that live in this montangna.
From here on, another couple of kilometres of steep ascent await you on a not particularly well maintained asphalt road with some notable bends. These are the last efforts. A few hairpin bends in quick succession welcome you to the summit of Monte Tuoro.
By the time you reach the radio antennas, you will be exactly 1,432 metres above sea level. Not bad, especially when you think that you started from only 700 metres: congratulations!
Take all the time you want to enjoy the landscape and take photos: you have deservedly earned it!
The road back to Chiusano San Domenico is exactly the same. Be careful going downhill and remember to close the gate as you pass. Take the opportunity to look at the landscapes from a different point of view than on the way out.
You will surely notice glimpses that you missed or that you could not see from the perspective of the outward journey. Stop to take selfies and souvenir photos: we are waiting for you in Chiusano San Domenico at our e-bike rental point to return the bike and to get your impressions of the day.
One-day 40 km tour in the Monferrato area around Acqui Terme. Visit Montechiaro d'Acqui and Castelletto d'Erro.
Castelletto d'Erro
Population 155, it's one of the peaks of this mountain area coloured by lavender fields. What to see: the medieval fortress now is just a square tower. The Assunta church contains a painting ascribed to Pietro Ivaldi called "il Muto" (the Mute"). Visit Sant'Onorato, a small chapel 1 km far from the village.
Montechiaro d'Acqui
The village is 15 km from Acqui Terme. The highest part is on the crest between Bormida and Erro Valleys: the landscape is astonishing. Its main features are the cobblestones streets, the vaults, the staircases made of sandstone. All of the houses are made of stones with plaques, gates and emblems with signs of the past centuries. You can visit the parish curch of Saint George (16th Century) and the Saint Catherine oratory, the latter is now the Peasants' Museum.
Ponti
During the Roman Age via Aemilia Scauri passed here. An original mileston was found here and is now protected under the City Hall arcades. Visit the ruins of the Marquis of Carretto castle and the parish church of the Assunta. Every year, on the last Sunday of April, there is the Sagra del Polentone, which is the Festival of the Big Polenta (local cornmeal mush).

The Po is not just a river, it is a protagonist in the history of Cremona. Along its course it took place men, kingdoms, conflicts and generated culture with art, myths and legends.
The city has developed on its banks and exploited its resources, water and the ability to be a link on them, expanding its control even along its course leaving traces of different epochs still well visible today.
The path starts from Cremona following the left bank of the Po to the west to cross the point where the affluent Adda feeds it, called Punta d'Adda.
What to see in Crotta d 'Adda
It will be possible to see life stories related to the rivers painted on the walls of the houses, admire the nature generated by the water, the old ferry to cross the river, a circular experimental breeding and the history of the cremonese family Stanga that here has made a villa on natural terraction which rushes to the river area.
Crossing the rivers you reach the province of Lodi where at the Castello di Maccastorna remembers the figure of the Cremonese gentleman Cabrino Fondulo and the eccide accomplished in the castle of this small location, and then arriving at Castelnuovo Bocca d'Adda where to discover the Visconteo castle, bound to the Municipality of Cremona and the chapel of St. John the Baptist family of the Stanga family. The return will make you visit the real Punta d'Adda and a wooded path along the embankments.

Si parte dal punto di noleggio Bike Square di Mongiardino e si seguono le indicazioni per Roccaforte e Grondona. Il percorso è interamente su strada asfaltata di basso traffico. Raggiunto il punto panoramico di Roccaforte e S. Martino si inizia una lunga discesa fino al caratteristico borgo di Grondona, attraverso un territorio verdeggiante e profumato ricco di numerose essenze arboree. Il borgo ricorda quelli medievali dell'entroterra Genovese, con edifici costruiti in pietra locale.Tra le numerose atrattive storiche vi sono la Chiesa dell'Annunziata e la Chiesa di S. Maria dell'Assunta, entrambe romaniche, la torre cinquecentesca superstite del Castello Doria e l'antico ponte in pietra.Ci si può fermare per assaporare i prodotti tipici locali della valle Spinti tra cui spicca l'aromatico miele.
Trascorsa una rinfrescante pausa nella quiete e nel verde si ritorna a Sisola per la riconsegna delle ebike.

It is a circular route that starts and ends from the prestigious AC RANCH and will allow you to admire the splendid landscapes of the Alessandria countryside
What to see in the area
The tour is extremely easy, on average flat and suitable for everyone.
It is designed for groups and events and is very scenic.
Departing from the AC Ranch you will quickly reach the village of San Rocco and then take a secondary road until you reach the Municipality of Frascaro.
The road crosses cultivated fields that extend as far as the eye can see, giving cyclists a great sense of peace and tranquillity.
Once in Frascaro, you can consider a stop at the Osteria del Gallo Merlino, which will offer excellent dishes and typical Piedmontese specialties.
On the main square of the village there are charging stations for bicycles. Continuing the route, it will be possible to cross a small red iron bridge: these structures are typical of flat areas and are used by cyclists, pedestrians and tourists to cross the numerous streams that are used to irrigate the fields.
It is convenient to get off the bike and carry it by hand, as the bridge is quite narrow.
After a few more kilometers of pedaling it will be possible to reach the Giant Red Bench of Borgoratto Alessandrino which will offer you a pleasant view over the fields as far as the eye can see.
From the bench, the ride will continue on the way back passing through the Vigna dei Pastelli di Pico Maccario, a prestigious local winery.

The departure and ' the Bike Square rental point of Cabella Ligure. From here by continuing along the provincial 140, it comes in the vicinity of the inhabited Albera Ligure from which the Albirola Valley begins. After the iron bridge begins a small asphalted secondary road leading to the fraction of Santa Maria-Venaint. Percorrupting it comes in a suggestive borgo, with the stone houses and the seicentesco water mill in Santamaria, reachable via a steep path that continues to the pond feeding the Mulino where a pleasant area is located. Continuing on the 'ring, after a few returning, you reach Santa Maria where to make an 'interesting walk between the evocative stone houses, an ancient washroom and see the dedicated chiesette to the Madonna della Neve. Resuming the path comes to Venus, a small borough well valued by its inhabitants with floral addobbons. Here it is possible to see the Church of the Saints Matthew and Fortunato, dating back to the 9th century, built on the ruins of the ' Abbey of Venish, among the oldest monastic foundations in the area. From here you enjoy a breathtaking view on the Borbera Valley. After a few kilometres, Pallavicino and finally the castle of Borgo Adorno built in 1100 by the Spinola, now Casa Museum of the painter Clemen Parrocchetti, has been reached. From here the path is particularly panoramic. It reaches localities ' Campana and returns to the provincial road to Cantalupo Ligure, passing through the location of Pertuso, known as the starting point of the suggestive trial called the stone doors. From here you can admire a suggestive canyon, long a few kilometres and marked by a very bitter nature dominated by spectacular rock formations, unfortunately also known for sad episodes related to World War II. Before returning to Cabella Ligure it is worth climbing over the evocative iron bridge and crossing the river from which the beautiful territory of this valley between Piedmont and Liguria takes its name.

Strarting from our e-bike rental point in Frascati you will reach the lake step by step passing through Rocca di Papa, Nemi( famous for the strawberry festival at the end of Spring time) and Genzano. Finally you will reach Ariccia and its "fraschette" where you can have a pleasant meal. You will reach the lake from the little town of Castel Gandolfo by a panoramic street. Our adventure begins in the heart of Saluzzo's historic centre, a medieval jewel at the foot of Monviso. From here, we'll head towards the gentle hills that characterise the Cuneo landscape, passing through the picturesque towns of Manta and Verzuolo. The route has been designed to offer the perfect balance between scenic beauty and rideability, alternating tarmac sections with evocative dirt tracks that offer breathtaking views of the Maritime and Cottian Alps.
The approximately 42-kilometre route has been designed to avoid busy roads, favouring secondary roads and paths that allow you to immerse yourself completely in the nature and tranquillity of the Cuneo countryside. The route partially follows the EuroVelo 8 to ensure a more authentic experience away from traffic.
The Stop in Busca: Flavours of the Territory
Halfway through our journey, a special stop awaits us in Busca, where we'll take a pleasant break to refresh ourselves with an aperitif featuring typical local products. A perfect moment to socialise, share impressions of the journey and savour the gastronomic excellence of the Cuneo territory, from DOP cheeses to wines from our hills.

La partenza è il punto di noleggio BikeSquare di Voltaggio. Si segue Via Val Morsone. Dopo il guado si inizia una piacevole strada asfaltata, in gran parte in salita che segue il torrente Gorzente, una meta privilegiata per i bagni di fiume estivi. La strada si ricongiunge alla SP. N.165 presso la Località Eremiti, punto di partenza per le escursioni sulla vetta del Monte Tobbio. Si prosegue, sulla Provinciale costeggiando il Gorzente, in direzione Capanne di Marcarolo. Si è all'interno dell'area protetta del Parco Naturale delle Capanne di Marcarolo (Leggi a parte). Arrivati in sommità si possono trovare i punti di ristoro e gradevoli aree attrezzate dove prendere il sole e riposare avvolti dal penetrante profumo della vegetazione spontanea. Si rientra a Voltaggio seguendo la strada dell'andata.
