If we advise you to rent an e-bike to explore Monte Tuoro, it is because it is one of the most beautiful mountains in the province of Avellino. Its special position will give you unforgettable breathtaking views and the variety of fauna and flora that populate it will make your ebike excursion unforgettable.
Monte Tuoro is a Site of Community Interest (SCI) and part of the Monti Picentini Regional Park.
It is an out-and-back route that includes the same itinerary. In addition to asphalt, the wheels of your ebike will pass over dusty or muddy (depending on the season) trails and wonderful gravel sections. Therefore, also due to some challenging uphill sections (in some places you will touch 15% gradient), this route is not suitable for pedal-assisted city bikes.
Please note: in many of the areas you will pass through, your mobile phone will not have coverage!
We therefore advise you to rent a Trekking ebike or, even better, to opt for the rental of a Focus Full Suspension e-MTB.
The starting point of the GPS track we are proposing is the e-bike hire point in Chiusano San Domenico, which is located in the centre of the village and is therefore a very easy reference point to locate.
However, if you prefer to start from the ebike rental point located at the Ciclostazione Avellino (Contrada San Lorenzo 18, Atripalda). add the AB/BA route (16.5 km) to this track to reach the bike rental point in Chiusano San Domenico.
This trail can be lengthened or shortened as desired. Therefore, feel free to contact us to let us know your time and/or fitness needs: we will be happy to customise this path so that it perfectly suits your requirements.
Let's start!
Mount your bike and head for the upper part of the town. In the midst of the houses you will catch a glimpse of the ancient castle of Chiusano di San Domenico and, as you tackle the first few ramps, you will immediately understand what kind of day awaits you. The effort, however, will always be repaid by incredible views and unforgettable emotions.
The first 5 km will all be uphill, but since the entire GPS track is about 25 km, if you don't want to struggle, increase the power of your ebike: there's no danger of running out of battery! In any case, you will have plenty to distract you: the views and lush greenery will fill your eyes and mind.
When you come close to a hamlet (an accommodation facility not in operation at the time of writing), it means that the climb is coming to an end. Look for the best spot to take a souvenir photo of this day, choosing between a nature-themed background or a shot from above of Chiusano, Avellino, Montevergine and the Parthenio Park.
From here on, 3.5 km of flat land await you to be enjoyed. Listen to the silence and appreciate the solitude. The only people you might bump into are the Chiusanesi who go up the mountain for their farming activities or a few other cyclists.
At a certain point, when the navigator tells you to turn slightly right, say goodbye to the asphalt. A gravel section begins, which is a prelude to the most beautiful and exciting stretch of the day. Centuries-old beech trees, chestnut trees, luxuriant ferns, gravel, turkey oaks, mountain maples: all the way to the summit you will literally be immersed in nature. Thanks to the dense vegetation, the temperature is cool in summer and cold in winter, so make sure you are dressed appropriately.
Gather all possible details and glimpses with your eyes, but if you see something that interests you, better make a stop. In some sections the dirt road is challenging and deserves to be tackled carefully.
At a certain point the wheels of your ebike will return to asphalt and the climb will become challenging again.
When you get about 10 km from the start, you may find the road closed by a gate: don't worry! Open it and continue on your way, but don't forget to close it again after your passage! This is a boundary used by farmers to delimit the pastures of the cows that live in this montangna.
From here on, another couple of kilometres of steep ascent await you on a not particularly well maintained asphalt road with some notable bends. These are the last efforts. A few hairpin bends in quick succession welcome you to the summit of Monte Tuoro.
By the time you reach the radio antennas, you will be exactly 1,432 metres above sea level. Not bad, especially when you think that you started from only 700 metres: congratulations!
Take all the time you want to enjoy the landscape and take photos: you have deservedly earned it!
The road back to Chiusano San Domenico is exactly the same. Be careful going downhill and remember to close the gate as you pass. Take the opportunity to look at the landscapes from a different point of view than on the way out.
You will surely notice glimpses that you missed or that you could not see from the perspective of the outward journey. Stop to take selfies and souvenir photos: we are waiting for you in Chiusano San Domenico at our e-bike rental point to return the bike and to get your impressions of the day.

A perfect cycling excursion for all, which will take you on a circular journey between pristine nature and fascinating historical boroughs. In a moment, you'll be immersed in picturesque landscapes and picturesque villages. The pathway snuggles between demanding and breathtaking salitis, offering numerous variants. Along the route, you may encounter wild animals such as foxes and deer, and walk a stretch of the famous "Strada of Assietta" before heading down to Susa, a city from the millennial past, crossroads of transalpine routes between Italy and France. Crossing the narrow streets of the historical center of Susa, you can admire the majestic Arc of Augustus, dating back to 9-8 BC, with behind the ruins of the Roman aqueduct of the 4th century. This pedal will allow you to discover numerous medieval constructions as well, perdense yourself in the charm of the streets of the historic, lively and animated centre by tourists from all over the world. Susa is also famous for the city market that is held every Tuesday, recalling visitors from all over the valley. Partendo da Armonie in Corte, a Buronzo, dopo una colazione/merenda a base di prodotti del territorio, si segue la Strada Buronzina, si costeggia il Nuovo Canale della Baraggia fino a incrociare il Rio Versa e il Cavo Alemanno.
Tra Buronzo e Rovasenda
Si giunge quindi all'incastrone della Mapetta, che prende il nome dalla vicina cascina e che rappresenta un punto suggestivo dove ben si comprende la gestione delle acque e l'opera di ingegneria idraulica che fa capo al Consorzio di Bonifica della Baraggia Vercellese e Biellese. Qui dopo aver pedalato accanto ai laghetti di pesca sportiva e di popolamento di anatre e uccelli tipici degli ambienti umidi e dopo l'attraversamento della ferrovia Biella-Novara, si potrebbe far rientro lungo la Buronzina, ma proseguiamo sulla strada che collega Rovasenda a San Giacomo, attraversando le risaie del riso solidale biologico della famiglia nobile Di Rovasenda Biandrate e giungendo a Rovasenda.
Escursione al ponte canale
Qui, proseguendo lungo il cavo Piantalino, una traversa d'imbocco e una presa d'acqua, oltrepassando un pioppeto suggestivo si può fare un'escursione fino al torrente Rovasenda, in un punto con un bel salto d'acqua della Roggia Marchionale, che passa sopra al torrente in un ponte canale e salta nel sottocanale Fasoli (lo chiamano il "trovone", questo angolo).
Rientrando dall'escursione si continua tra le risaie attraversando la ferrovia Novara-Biella, incontrando il naviletto di Villarboit e, attraversando la strada che collega Ghislarengo a Rovasenda, ci si dirige verso San Giacomo Vercellese per rientrare a Buronzo.

The Bicycle Route Between Calanchi and Balze
The bicycle route between Balze and Calanchi passes through places where nature and history intertwine in a circular path accessible to everyone thanks to e-bikes. This itinerary takes us to discover a unique scenario, characterized by spectacular geological formations, medieval monasteries suspended between heaven and earth, and gastronomic delicacies that tell the essence of this territory.
The e-bike itinerary develops in a loop, making the experience accessible even to those who are less trained. The electric bicycle represents the ideal means to fully immerse yourself in the surrounding landscape, allowing you to appreciate every detail of these lands shaped by time and the elements. The route winds through a succession of breathtaking panoramas, alternating white roads with more adventurous paths, always accompanied by the majesty of the Balze and calanchi that dominate the horizon.
The Balze: Witnesses of an Ancient Geological History
Along the bike path, you observe the Balze which reveal themselves in all their grandeur. These steep slopes with their characteristic golden color represent a natural spectacle of rare beauty and a geological phenomenon of considerable scientific interest. Composed of sand and calcareous sandstone rocks, the Balze are the result of a grand erosive process still in progress, which continues to shape the sediments left by an ancient sea dating back 2.5 million years.
The particular conformation of these geological formations creates plays of light and shadow that reach their peak during the twilight hours, when the setting sun's rays enhance their golden tones, offering a visual spectacle of extraordinary beauty. Pedaling along the route, you will find yourself immersed in an almost lunar landscape, where time seems to have stopped, allowing you to virtually travel back millions of years.
The Calanchi: Natural Sculptures with Wild Charm
In stark contrast to the golden Balze, the calanchi represent another fascinating chapter of this cycling adventure. Characterized by steep southern slopes with pointed crests that shine white under the sun, the calanchi offer a scenario of wild beauty. The bike path reaches, via a white road, a privileged observation point near the small church of San Cipriano. From this strategic position, you can admire in all its extension the characteristic calanchi landscape of Volterra, distinguished by formations of considerable size, both in length and height.
This natural belvedere offers the opportunity to take memorable photographs and enjoy a moment of contemplation in front of a scenario that seems to have come out of a painting. The small church, with its architectural simplicity, integrates perfectly into the surrounding landscape, adding a further element of cultural interest to the experience.
The Pecorino delle Balze Volterrane DOP: A Gastronomic Treasure
The e-bike tour crosses a hilly territory rich not only in natural and historical beauties, but also in gastronomic excellences. In these hills, the prestigious Pecorino delle Balze Volterrane DOP is produced, a typical cheese that encapsulates the essence of this unique land.
The peculiarity of this cheese lies in the use of vegetable rennet extracted from the wild thistle, a plant that grows spontaneously in local pastures. This production technique, handed down from generation to generation, gives the pecorino a distinctive and unmistakable flavor, which tells the story and traditions of these hills. During the route, there will be opportunities to stop at small farms to taste this product of excellence, accompanied by other local typical products.

On the bike following the dirt path called "Itinerary of Balze and Calanchi," the tour leads to the discovery of environmental sculptures created by the artist Mauro Staccioli. Sport have always been very important in Barcelona, even in Roman times. Much later, at the beginning of the 20th Century, football became the major sport in Barcelona. Barça was its main team, and it became a symbol, the national team of Catalonia. That’s why we built el Camp Nou, the biggest Football Stadium in Europe.
But the most important transformation of the city took place during the 80’ and 90’ with the 1992 Olympics: new beaches and harbours, awesome buildings, great opportunities. The main Olympic sites were the Ring at Montjuïc, and the Vila Olimpica and its harbour, both reachable with our e-bikes.
Along our tour we will see all these famous places, giving you a fully understanding of the recent history of Barcelona, that made it so famous all over.

Si parte dal punto di noleggio BikeSquare di Casaleggio Boiro e si raggiunge il Borgo di Lerma. Si prosegue in direzione di Tagliolo Monferrato e prima del ponte sul Piota si svolta a sinistra, in direzione Località Cirimilla. Superata Cascina Cirimilla si prosegue sulla sterrata detta “della Cirimilla” di altissivo valore ambientale e paesaggistico in quanto attraversa interamente il Parco, fino ad arrivare alle Capanne di Marcarolo. Raggiunto il Centro del Parco si può fare una sosta golosa e poi riprendere la strada di ritorno. Il primo tratto è lo stesso dell'andata ma al bivio (siamo nel tratto boscoso) anzichè proseguire a sinistra si mantiene la destra per raggiungere i laghi della Lavagnina, costeggiare il grande lago e poi ritornare sulla sterrata fino a riprendere la strada asfaltata per raggiugere il borgo di Casaleggio Boiro, dove è possibile vedere il Castello utilizzato in mumerore scenografie cinematografiche.

The Big Bench
E-bike tour to discover the Big Bench is full of panoramic viewpoints and rides immersed in nature among the hills of the Langhe in search of 5 giant benches from the Big Bench Community Project. Among these, you will also see the first one, near the founder's house: Chris Bangle. The Big Bench project was born in Clavesana and is an artistic and tourist initiative that consists of installing giant benches in scenic and suggestive locations. The Big Benches are giant benches, they are public and offer visitors the opportunity to sit and admire spectacular landscapes.

Big Bench San Benedetto Belbo
The departure for the ebike tour is from Murazzano, a gem of Alta Langa. With the bikes, you proceed towards San Benedetto Belbo pedaling through groves and hazelnut trees until you reach the giant bench #85 yellow and blue, positioned along the road that descends from Passo della Bossola towards the San Benedetto Belbo village. It was inaugurated in 2019.
Big Bench Dogliani
The tour to discover the giant benches continues towards Dogliani, the home of Dolcetto wine and Neo-Gothic architecture. The blue and red bench is located in the historic center near the majestic castle. With e-bikes, it will be easy to reach it by climbing the hill of the town of Dogliani. A picnic stop is highly recommended, by reservation, you can contact the Agriturismo Marenco Aldo and pick up your picnic basket that you can enjoy sitting on the Big Bench while observing the panorama or in the shade of a beautiful tree.

After recharging your energy with a delicious picnic stop, why not, combined with a tasting of Dolcetto di Dogliani, the route continues towards Farigliano where in Borgata Gombe immersed in the quiet of the surrounding countryside we find the giant purple bench. Photo stop and then continue towards Clavesana.

The e-bike route has Clavesana as its last stop with its two giant benches, the red and the blue one. Did you know that Clavesana is where the Big Bench Community Project originated? Its founder Chris Bangle installed the first giant bench, the red one, in Borgata Correa in 2010. For true fans of giant benches, the official passport is available at accredited points (info on the official website), where you can have dedicated visit stamps for each Italian and international bench.

Sport, turismo, natura, passione per la promozione ecosostenibile del territorio, in un percorso in mountain bike che unisce, nell’amore per la Sardegna, le zone interne con quelle costiere. Si parte dal paesino Capitale della Barbagia Belvì, passando per i territori Mandrolisai, Sarcidano, Marmilla, Trexenta, Gerrei, Sarrabus, Campidano e Poetto prima del rientro e arrivo a Belvì.
In sella alle e-bike noleggiate dalla Nostra associazione o alle proprie mountain bike su tre distanze da 100, 200 e 300 chilometri, che i partecipanti potranno percorrere in modo agonistico oppure turistico.
La formula è sempre quella che tra avventura e sport, montagna e mare, ha sancito il successo nelle quattro edizioni precedenti: il percorso scelto non sarà segnalato e si dovrà scoprire inoltrandosi tra strade sterrate, mulattiere, sentieri, boschi di castagno, pascoli, leccete e praterie in quota, esclusivamente seguendo la traccia GPS che l'organizzazione consegnerà alla partenza oppure qualche giorno prima per potersi pianificare l'avventura.
L'idea è sempre stata quella di un percorso che dalla montagna andasse a collegarsi con il mare. Il messaggio, sia in chiave sportiva che turistica e naturalistica è quello di valorizzare e far scoprire ai partecipanti tutte le zone della nostra isola in modo sostenibile. La scelta di Cagliari non è stata casuale. Questo ponte sportivo tra centro Sardegna e mare rappresenta un tassello importante delle iniziative a carattere sportivo sia in campo professionistico che dilettantistico ed amatoriale.
THE PARK OF MONSTERS, THE CALANQUES AND THE VITERBO AREA
Another not exactly light stage, 1200 meters of total elevation gain for 65 km of distance: the ups and downs of Tuscia relax and engage at the same time, with pristine and green views, narrow streets secluded from heavy traffic, unexpected rock formations and villages set in the landscape. The GTL 13 route uses sections of Eurovelo 5 and Eurovelo 7, as well as Via Francigena. From Orte we cross the Tiber again to cross into Umbria for a short stretch up to Attigliano, and immediately return to one of the most curious attractions of the area, the Park of the Monsters of Bomarzo: in this village lost between valleys and crevasses, in fact, Prince Pier Francesco Orsini had the architect Pirro Ligorio build a garden of "monsters", in the etymological sense of the term wonder, or oddities and fantastic sculptures to distract him from the pain of losing his wife. The route continues in a fluctuating manner through the hills of Tuscia, rows of vineyards and farmhouses, woods and wheat fields, crossing only tiny villages and hamlets such as Santarello or Pallone. Thus we arrive in Bagnaia, a handful of tuff houses close to the Cimini Mountains, made even more fascinating by the sixteenth-century Villa Lante, one of the most beautiful Mannerist gardens in Italy signed by Vignola. From here to Viterbo the few kilometers are all downhill, and you can relax by visiting the wonderful medieval center of the capital, and then conclude the stage between shady roads to Vetralla along stretches of the Via Francigena

The easy route of about 30 km runs mainly through country roads, with small detours to see interesting fountains, agricultural views and places of worship, from small devotional chapels to the Sanctuary of Santa Maria del Fonte in Caravaggio.

We are in the Langhe, hills, vines (so many vines), castles, small boroughs to discover and great landscapes in which to immerse yourself.
The territory
We are in the vineyard area of Nebbiolo da Barolo where the vineyards are so beautiful and historical that they have become Heritage of Humanity Unesco. It is, in fact, a landscape of exceptional beauty!
The territory of the Langhe is characterized by a historical tradition related to the crop of the vine and a true culture related to the production of the deeply rooted wine in the community. It is from these vines that the Barolo is produced : it is the red wine (the King of the Vines) produced with Nebbiolo grapes. The communes where the Barolo is produced are 11 : Barolo, Castiglione Falletto, Serralunga d' Alba (in these 3 only Barolo is produced) and then there are La Morra, Monforte d' Alba, Roddi, Verduno, Cherasco, Diano d' Alba, Novello and Grinzane Cavour.
The winery La Torricella
The Cantina La Torricella is located in Monforte in the fraction Sant' Anna.
The cellar has a long family history, there are 3 generations who have worked and are working inside the cellar : a cutting-edge cellar from the strong family tradition, will know how to amaze you with its proposals.
The tour
This tour leaves from Novello and from here it is very easy to reach Monforte and the winery La Torricella. During the visit to Monforte, mandatory stop at Giant Bench belonging to the Big Bench circuit is the nr #6 Monforte-Gramolere from the Purple color. With the e-bikes the climb will be easy and fun. On the bench it is possible to sit back and relax by admiring the panorama from the high of the ancient city of Monforte that one of the Most Beautiful Borghi of Italy. After the visit to Monforte pedal between the Monfortini vineyards and the electric bike is saddled with the S. Anna fraction. The scenic route offers wonderful farts on the valley, with a view of the Langhe, already before you arrive, you will enjoy the wine paessage.
If you prefer instead you can go first from Castiglione Falletto, admire the imposing castle, enjoy the fantastic view from the belvedere.
The panorama is assured by the scenic route that links Monforte to Castiglione Falletto, pedal into e-bike on the crest of the hill, you will remain open-mouths.
After the tasting you can go up again in the saddle to continue with your tour in the direction of Barolo, from the city center spurts the castle, home to the Vine Museum, great stage for the enthusiasts. After the visit to Barolo it is part of Novello.

Un percorso che dal borgo di Buronzo, che con il suo castello consortile domina la Baraggia e le sue risaie, porta in un paesaggio unico, dominato dall'acqua e dalla natura.
Armonie in Corte
Punto di partenza è Armonie in Corte, con il suo giardino emozionale e le sue sale storiche dove consumare una colazione/merenda a base di prodotti del territorio (il riso e i suoi derivati non possono mancare). Il verde della Corte è realizzato seguendo i principi di biodiversità con piantumazioni di arbusti forestali robusti, dalla selezione e raccolta di semi provenienti dai boschi certificati dalla Regione Piemonte. Sfondo sono le pietre del Castello, i ciottoli di fiume, i blocchi di pietra. In questo si inserisce l'arte contemporanea, con il Terzo Paradiso di Michelangelo Pistoletto.
Lungo le vie d'acqua
Lungo la strada Buronzina, si incontra il Nuovo Canale della Baraggia e lo si costeggia, tra risaie e cascine, fino all'incastrone della Mapetta, un'opera di ingegneria idraulica sul cavo San Marco che ben racconta la gestione delle acque operata dal Consorzio di Bonifica della Baraggia Vercellese e Biellese e la sua importanza. Si prosegue lungo il cavo San Marco, fiancheggiando le tese d'acqua utili al ripopolamento avicolo della zona, arrivando al nodo idraulico Valversi (dal nome dell'omonima cascina) dove finisce la Roggia Marchionale. Tutto intorno, sono boschi cedui.
Le opere di ingegneria idraulica sono, insieme alla natura e all'agricoltura, i punti di interesse per eccellenza. Si incontra, per esempio, il sifone della Bartesa, un punto in cui su diversi livelli si incrociano "virtualmente" le acque della Roggia Marchionale e di una fontana naturale che prende il via nel vicino comune di Roasio. Tra boschi e risaie si incontrano laghetti per la pesca, aziende faunistiche venatorie private, ma anche spontanee nidificazioni di cicogne e aree di ripopolamento di uccelli e fauna tipica.
Si attraversa anche una ferrovia, la Santhià-Arona ormai in disuso, per tornare sulla Strada Buronzina e far rientro nel borgo di partenza.

The route passes through the joyful Frascati, the volcanic lakes in Nemi and Castel Gandolfo, crossing Lanuvio, Genzano, Ariccia and finally Marino and Frascati. The itinerary has an easy practicability and during the trip you will enjoy fantastic panoramas. Each town has its own peculiarity: Rocca di Papa with its fortress, Nemi with its lake and its misterious town, Lanuvio is full of history with its walls and its temples, Ariccia is famous thanks to its "fraschette", Genzano has fantastic boulevards, Albano with its joyful main avenue. Finally you can taste the characteristic wine of Marino and Frascati in the most famous villas of Grottaferrata and Frascati.
Pedalata in e-bike dalle sorgenti termali di acqua sulfurea al rifugio di Malboschetto in connessione spirituale con la natura.
Latronico fu feudo dei Sanseverino, dei Corcione e dei Gesuiti. Poi passò alla Corona e al demanio.
La popolazione dal ‘700 è profondamente devota a S. Egidio, figura presente nell’arte, nella storia e nel costume del paese.
Tra i luoghi di principale interesse: la Cappella di San Cataldo del XIII sec., la Chiesa di S. Maria delle Grazie, la Chiesa di S. Egidio e quella di S. Nicola, Palazzo Arcieri e Palazzo Gioia. Tra le risorse naturalistiche le sorgenti di acque minerali La Calda e l’enorme sagoma di un pesce fossile di 30 milioni di anni fa in località Solarino di Iannazzo.
Percorso ad anello che si snoda lungo i sentieri che collegano San Giovanni Bianco a Cornalita.

Dalla frazione di Brengon (dove noleggiate le bici) seguire la strada asfaltata sino ad incontrare il bivio per Chamois: trascurarlo e proseguire lungo la stradina fino a raggiungere un parcheggio che si trova dopo un ampio tornante a sinistra. Risalire la strada che porta al Col Pilaz nell’abetaia che ogni tanto regala interessanti scorci sul Monte Zerbion e sul Mont Tantané. Superato un tratto di strada leggermente più ripido il tracciato prosegue in un tratto quasi rettilineo, siamo sullo spartiacque con il comune di Chamois ed ogni tanto, tra i rami degli abeti, si intravede l’inconfondibile sagoma del di sua Maestà il CERVINO.
Proseguire sulla poderale che propone una breve discesa sino ad incontrare un bivio: si trascura la strada che prosegue diritta davanti a noi e si svolta a destra continuando la discesa sino al Col Pilaz (1975m).
Riprendere la strada a ritroso e al bivio (che abbiamo incontrato prima) seguire a destra le indicazioni per Chamois. La discesa è bella e pedalabile e si ricongiunge con la pista poderale che porta al caratteristico paese di Chamois (circa un venti minuti).
Il rientro si sviluppa tutto sulla famosa passeggiata La Magdeleine - Chamois e non presenta particolari difficoltà.
