This ebike tour between Turin and Moncalieri allows you to enjoy, with calm and tranquility, the pleasantness of the landscapes, nature and history of the two neighboring cities. It is a route that starts and ends in Turin passing through the Valentino and Vallere Park, along the Po river and then passes through the historic centers of Moncalieri and Turin.
It starts from Via Madama Cristina 21, BikeSquare Torino's electric bike rental point; head towards Parco del Valentino and then the Vallere, along a flat path, partly paved and free of traffic, up to Moncalieri. From here, after a short stretch, you enter the characteristic pedestrian historic center of Moncalieri.
Valentino and Vallere's Park
In the Parco del Valentino you pass trhough the rear of the Valentino castle, headquarter of the faculty of architecture, and then you can pass inside the nineteenth-century "Borgo Medievale", a remnant of the universal expo of 1882 together with the nearby Fountain of the 12 months.
Also inside the Vallere park you cna find one of the main plants of Smat (a company that supplies water from Turin), which uses the water of the Sangone river to bottle the water for astronauts space missions around the world.
Moncalieri
In the center of Moncalieri you can appreciate the whole context of elegance with the streets full of shop windows, restaurants and signs of ancient times.
It is very pleasant to stop in the town hall square (piazza Vittorio Emanuele II) to taste local delicacies and visit the church of Santa Maria della Scala.
In a short time from the square you can reach the castle of Moncalieri, which construction begun in 1200 and has been remodeled until 1700, which dominates the town.
From the square surrounding the castle you can enjoy a wide and pleasant view of Turin and the mountains that frame it, giving the name to our Piedmont region (which means "at the feet of the mountains").
Going back towards Torino, Cappuccini's Mount and la Gran Madre di Dio
From here, take a wide and straight downhill road that takes you back to the banks of the Po river and then to Turin, again along the Po river, but on the opposite bank from the previous journey with the possibility of staying on the cycle path away from traffic.
Once you reach the Monumental bridge, you return to the city streets by going up the short and pleasant corso Fiume and reaching the Monte dei Cappuccini after passing in front of Villa Scott, theater of the horror movie Profondo Rosso.
The Capuccini have a beautiful view over the city of Turin, as well as the mountain museum and the church of the order of the Capuchins.
Going down the hill from Via Villa della Regina you arrive at the historic Gran Madre di Dio church, built on the occasion of the return of the sovereigns after the Napoleonic interlude, from the monumental staircase that is the background to countless wedding photos.
The monuments of the Sabaudo - Torino city center
The tour continues, leaving the hill behind, entering the center through the famous Piazza Vittorio Veneto (the largest of its kind) with uniform architectures that continue along the entire Via Po until reaching Piazza Castello (note the uninterrupted right portico along the entire the street because it was reserved for the promenade of kings and nobles).
In the center of Piazza Castello you can admire the medieval castle embellished with the eighteenth-century facade of the Juvarra, the modern Teatro Regio (opera house) and the church of San Lorenzo. A gate with the opening guarded by the bronze statues of the mythological Castor and Pollux on horseback (Pollux distinguishable by the star on the forehead that certifies his divine nature) separates Piazza Castello from the courtyard of the Royal Palace, where it is located the Royal Armory. According to some legends, the padlock in the center of this passage identifies one of the gates of paradise and according to others is one of the vertices of the white magic triangle Prague, Lyon, Turin.
From a further covered passage at the bottom left, looking at the facade of the Royal Palace, you can enter Piazza San Giovanni where you can find the Cathedral with its white Renaissance facade and which for some centuries has kept the Holy Shroud on display periodically. From the square you can also see the remains of the Porta Palatine of Roman origin.
Returning to Piazza Castello, take the first section of Via Roma (pedestrian) which leads to the elegant Piazza San Carlo built around the equestrian statue of Emanuele Filiberto. The gem of the square lies in the pavement of the arcades on the right (according to the direction of travel) where you can look for the bronze profile of the Turet (small bull), symbol of the city; it is said that if you make a wish with your foot on the bull's balls it will come true.
Passing between two Baroque churches you enter the next CNL square with the male and female statues representing respectively the Po and the Dora, the main rivers of Turin. Continue along Via Roma in the direction of the monumental facade of the Porta Nuova station reaching the Sambuy gardens. From here, take the Via Nizza cycle path to Corso Marconi where the building that was the headquarters of FIAT is located (on the right in white tuff) and return to Via Madama Cristina reaching the rental point after a few blocks.
in Turin
This itinerary is intense but very satisfyng, there are breth-taking panoramas of castelli romani and Rome. You can visit the Tuscolo's archeological site. You can visit the site from may to september( 9:30-19:30), in march and november(9:30-13:30) and in april and october(9:30-18:30). You have to take a group prenotation in january, in february and in december. There are some stocked pic-nic areas near the archeological site. Going on with the itinerary you will reach the San Silvestro church and Monte Compatri. Going down you will arrive in Rocca Priora through several bends. Coming back to the starting point you will travel along the Molara street and Pratone street.
THE LOWER SABINA AND THE TIBURTINA
The first Apennine stage of the GTL moves towards the border with Abruzzo, near the ancient Via Tiburtina Valeria: to this state road, built on the route of the Roman road commissioned by the consul who extended its course towards the Adriatic from Tibur (today Tivoli), however, the route prefers secondary roads on the other side of the Aniene, sometimes on dirt roads, others on paved roads with little traffic. The Aniene river is the constant of the entire stage: squeezed between the motorway and the state road, in fact, our route winds up and down in the valley carved by this tributary of the Tiber, once sacred to the Romans, in a humid and shady setting.We leave Tivoli by crossing the city gates and climbing imperceptibly towards the mountains: on the right the Lucretili complex and the Monte Catillo Nature Reserve, on the left the Simbruini. From the various villages on the Tiburtina there are countless hiking trails and detours to the peaks.Thus pass the villages and hamlets, built in white stone and increasingly similar to those of Abruzzo: Castel Madama, Vicovaro, Mandela, Pereto, and finally Roviano and Arsoli with their respective castles, a residue of a noble past. But the real tourist attraction of these areas is Nature, with its unspoiled woods and mountains.The difference in height is fluctuating but easy, the vegetation gradually becomes thicker, you gradually gain altitude and the Rome / Avezzano railway line is always there next to you for any problem. From Mandela there is also a route obtained from a former railway that leads to the beautiful Subiaco, certainly worthy of a detour

I nidi delle cicogne
Partendo dal piazzale del peso pubblico di Rovasenda, dal quale si vedono le prime piattaforme per la nidificazione delle cicogne, si raggiunge Cascina Teglio attraversando campi biologici con colture diverse. Si vede quindi un nuovo nido di cicogne tra Tenuta Bonifica e Cascina Tabacco.
Riso Secondo Natura
Addentrandosi in un panorama che è quello tipico della Baraggia, si arriva all'Azienda biologica Molinia, creatrice della tecnica Riso Secondo Natura. Proprio qui, oltre all'osservazione dei nidi, si possono comprendere le tecniche innovative a basso impatto e senza uso di prodotti di sintesi (no chimica). La strada, in questo breve tratto, è sterrata e dal fondo piuttosto irregolare, circondata da colture di vario tipo.
Costeggiando il canale della diga della Ravasanella, attraversando il bosco e osservando la centralina idroelettrica del Consorzio di Bonifica della Baraggia Vercellese e Biellese (con turbina funzionznte), si percorre un tratto asfaltato tra la Riserva Speciale della Baraggia a sinistra e un'area militare con strutture e capannoni a destra.
Il Feudo di Rovasenda e il Canale Fasoli
Si rientra così a Rovasenda, costeggiando le piattaforme per le cicogne alla Cascina Nuova e ripassando dalla Cascina Teglio, concludendo con una visita al Feudo di Rovasenda oppure facendo una deviazione seguendo il Canale Fasoli (prima si vede l'imbocco della traversa del Cavo Piantalino) per vederne il salto d'acqua, aperto nella stagione dell'irrigazione.

La Morra, known as the "balcony of the Langhe", welcomes you with spectacular views stretching from the surrounding hills to the Alps. From the viewpoint, you can admire a breathtaking panorama, trying to identify castles and bell towers of nearby villages. Don't miss the chance to visit the Red Bench in the Santa Maria hamlet, a unique scenic spot. Pedalling through the hamlets, you'll be completely immersed in the vineyards, discovering hidden gems such as the majestic Lebanon cedar, a centuries-old tree that dominates the landscape. Barolo
Barolo, the world capital of its namesake wine, is an unmissable stop. The village, dominated by Falletti Castle, houses the WiMu (Wine Museum), an interactive experience that will guide you through the region's wine culture. Stroll through the narrow streets of the historic centre, stopping at the numerous wine shops to taste the prized "king of wines". It is proceeding in Pari, small medieval borgo, beautifully preserved : we recommend a stroll along its circular road that, between stone houses with the characteristic porticates to arch, rises to the Palace of the Prior, from whose terrace you enjoy a magnificent panorama on the valley below.
Shortly out l 'inhabited, continues downhill in the direction of the Mulino di Pari, a visitor with a small detour from the path, which through meadows, centuries-old olive trees and costing the characteristic poderi in stone, reaches on a white road the valley of the 'Ombrone.
Here you can leave the bicycles and continue on foot for about 50 m to reach a beachfront on the river : you deserve a refreshing soak.
The road continues uphill through the woods and rejoinds to the provincial road : from this point, with a detour of a few hundred metres, it is possible to reach the Terms of Petriolo, historical thermal site, all 'open and on the bank of the Farma River, where it is possible to stop this time for a relaxing bath in the hot thermal waters.
Back on the route, you proceed in the direction of the 'abated of Casale di Pari, small and characteristic medieval borgo, home country of Aurelio Galeppini, the creator of Tex Willer.

This path that you can enjoy in ebike is developed in the territory between the communes of the municipalities of Arserum and Cogollo of the Cengio, along the white and paved roads. With a total length of 30.00 km with a mt. 417.
The starting point is in Arsero-Via dei Longhi where you start with a breakfast / merenda at the Campagna bar with coffee and brioche.
Arserum-Old Railway Station-Cartiera Rossi
From the starting point, you reach the Old Railway Station, station wanted at the end of '800 dall 'industrial Alessandro Rossi. Rossi financed the construction with l ', aimed at linking the manufacturing and Piovene Rocchette and Arserum manufacturers.
The route for our ebikes continues in the direction Cartiera Rossi, founded in 1878 by Francesco Rossi, a large company in which over 1300 employees were employed, becoming the largest European cartiera in the world in a few years.

Trail
goes back down the dirt road and through much of the countryside and the centre of the country, you can access the Alto Trail. It is a cycle-pedestrian path accessible to all. Church of the 'Olmo and Monastery of the Resurrection
The Church of the 'Olmo was the parish church of Cogollo until 1927 and is located in the heart of the old country with the care of the nuns, residing in the nearby monastery, a restored 17 ^ century building. The Small Family of the Resurrection is a Catholic monastic community born in Jerusalem in 1978, which today has numerous venues around the world.
The monastery, which dates back to the beginning of the 17 th century, is the fruit of a donation from Don Pietro Bella to the diocese. Bishop Antonio asked for the donation to be made for a monastery purpose and so it was.
Closed by Sant'Agata
Profollowing for the Alto Trail, it went down to the fraction of Mosson, to then forward to its campaigns and arrive at the chiesette of Sant'Agata, the small jeweller of longtime longobarda. It has the apse facing east, like all the primitive churches, and until 1915 it had next to the cemetery. The structure is at a unique nave, and at the entrance you can read the tarda dedicated in 1970 by the Sant'Agata Brigade.
Ex Railroad Raines Rocchette-Arserum
The road continues until you take "The Road of the Old Railway", today's itinerary cyclopedonale ex Railway Rocchette-Arsiero, is a route that from Piovene Rocchette leads up to Arserum by passing by Velo d 'Astico. Meda Castle
On the route you meet the Meda Castle, positioned at 375 meter slm, the Meda Castle has always dominated the valley. For this it was also used during the First World War as a postaction for cannons and machine guns. All still visible environments today, on three floors located under the castle.
Before we reach the term, we find the Restaurant Montanina, a welcoming restaurant offering quality products, with dishes typical of the culinary tradition vicentine obtained with selected raw materials. The e-bike route to discover the hills of Barbaresco unfolds through gentle hills, historic villages, and spectacular landscapes, offering the opportunity to immerse yourself in local culture and taste typical products from the Langhe region. The starting point for the e-bike tour is the bike rental location in the tranquility of the Alba vineyards. For those interested, a tasting can be organized before departure at the Adriano Marco e Vittorio Winery in San Rocco Seno D'Elvio, where you can savor Alba wines.
Rocche dei Sette Fratelli
On the bike, you will pedal towards the Rocche dei Sette Fratelli, one of the natural wonders of the Langhe. To reach this enchanting place, you will use secondary roads with very low traffic that are scenic and suggestive, winding through hills rich in vineyards. The Rocche are a unique geological formation characterized by sandy erosion towers that create an almost lunar landscape.
With the e-bike, tackling the climbs will be easy without tiring, allowing you to enjoy the panorama that unfolds on the horizon, where vineyards, hazelnut groves, and woodlands blend seamlessly into a single enchanting landscape. Donna di Langa
After stopping at Rocche dei Sette Fratelli with the electric bikes, you will reach the Donna di Langa viewpoint in Trezzo Tinella. Here, you can observe the "Donna di Langa" monument honoring the hard work of women in the Langhe region. In Beppe Fenoglio's stories, we can often read testimonies about this.
Donna di Langa is also equipped for picnics and has a fountain for water, making it a great stop to refill your water bottle and relax while enjoying the view and the majesty of nature.
What to See in Barbaresco
On your e-bike, you will pedal along secondary roads among the rows of Nebbiolo grapes that give rise to the famous and prestigious Barbaresco wine. This wine takes its name from the municipality where it is produced—Barbaresco itself. Upon arriving in the town of Barbaresco, you will find yourself in front of a small but charming village known for its namesake wine, which is one of the most prestigious in Italy. Here, you can visit the Barbaresco Tower, an ancient medieval watchtower that offers spectacular panoramic views of the Tanaro Valley and the surrounding vineyards. The tower has a panoramic terrace and is open to the public. History enthusiasts, aided by the evocative landscape, will be able to relive the medieval past of the town with their eyes wide open.

It is a circular route that starts and ends in Nizza Monferrato and allows you to admire the splendid landscapes of vineyards of Barbera and Nizza docg.
How to visit Nizza Monferrato
Nice is the most important agricultural and commercial center located in the heart of Monferrato area, one of the most famous Italian places of wine production in the world, especially as regards red wines. UNESCO World Heritage Site for its landscape assets and for the Barbera and Nizza DOCG wines, it is the most important center of the province and of the Belbo Valley.
In Nice it is worth taking a stroll through the streets of the center and stopping to admire the Campanon tower, in the town square, the oldest civic tower in the city, incorporated into the Town Hall.
The historic center is beautiful, full of typical bars and restaurants where you can taste the specialties of Nicese and Piedmontese cuisine based on Cardo Gobbo, a renowned local product.
There will certainly be the possibility of some amazing tasting of red wine at the Regional Winery of Nice, located near the splendid Palazzo Crova, an admirable example of an 18th century noble town residence.
At the end of the tour, the more "daring" will be able to reach the Church of Madonna della Neve, one of the highest points in the town.
It can be reached via a very steep climb but the view over the city and the surrounding municipalities is certainly worth the effort.
Castel Boglione and Castel Rocchero
In Castel Boglione and Castel Rocchero you can enjoy breathtaking landscapes that perfectly embody the concept of Monferrato.
These hills, shaped by the constant and incessant work of winemakers, became a UNESCO heritage site in 2014 and are recognized and admired all over the world.

How to visit Castelletto Molina
After the La Torre di Castel Rocchero’s Winery you will reach the charming town of Castelletto Molina, famous for its Medieval Castle characterized by high defensive walls and five towers used for defense and as ancient prisons.
The track will allow you to go around the Castle to admire it in all its beauty.
Also characteristic is the Museum of Agricultural Arts, at the entrance to the town.
If you are hungry, do not miss a stop at the Trattoria da Nello e Lina, whose typical dishes will brighten your day.
How to visit Fontanile
Continuing along secondary roads, we will arrive in the characteristic village of Fontanile, famous for its wines, the Murales, but above all for its mammoth Church of San Giovanni Battista, whose dome, designed by the engineer architect Francesco Gualandi, stands out in the center of the village dominating the whole surrounding landscape.

From here you can continue towards Mombaruzzo enjoying a stop at the Giant Bench of Fontanile, located in a splendid panoramic position.
The return: Mombaruzzo Stazione, Casalotto
After the Big Bench you can consider a stop at the “da Erminio” restaurant in Mombaruzzo Stazione for a short refreshment on the way back.
The route will then continue until it touches the Municipality of Casalotto.
From here, turning towards Fontanile, you can once again admire the dome of its “cathedral” dominating the whole surrounding landscape.
In Casalotto it is certainly worth making a detour to the “Berta Distilleries”, a prestigious company of grappas and spirits.
Here you cannot miss a taste of the amazing Grappa alle Rose, the real highlight of their production.

The fourteenth track of the GTL is still immersed in the Etruscan lands, and the hills of Tuscia are the masters in this inexorable descent towards the sea. This inexorable descent, however, hides many small ups and downs that make this stage a little more lively, until it reaches an accumulated difference in altitude of about 600 meters. From Vetralla we exit avoiding the busiest roads, to take the provincial road towards Tuscania: the trend is slightly downhill, the panorama that of the typical countryside of central Italy. Farms, rustic villas and rows of trees frame this first stretch of road without any particular crossings, except for a few herds of grazing cows.The somewhat monotonous wait, however, is rewarded halfway along the route, when we enter the beautiful village of Tuscania: with its medieval walls and churches in Romanesque and Gothic style, closed between the Marta and Capecchio rivers, it is leaning against a tuffaceous block like many villages in the area, and while flaunting a timeless dimension it has known various historical eras: from the Etruscan settlements from which it takes its name (Tuscum) to the Roman ones, up to the Middle Ages of the Aldobrandeschi fiefdoms and the era of the Communes.After Tuscania, the trend becomes a bit fluctuating, although it retains a negative difference in height towards sea level: a nice stop along the way is also the Abbey of San Giusto However, we have to reach Tarquinia, which is leaning against gentle hills that partially block the Tyrrhenian wind: to do so we avoid the most direct road, which is a two-lane provincial road, deviating onto secondary roads in the direction of San Giuliano and then falling back before Montalto di Castro. An articulated tour that showcases all of the repertoire, of the typologies of cycling paths of the Bay of the Sun. From Aurelia they earn a hundred metres of quota going back to the church of Holy Cross ; they follow four km of the way Iulia Augusta goes. At the crossroads from the leading abbey, Saint Martin is beginning to follow, in strong ascent, the guinea pig "two red boils". A dirt goes up with some delightfully panoramic returns on the plains of Albenga. A few tens of meters along the ridge, and on the left appear the "S-toppled S" scorer that reports on the south side. It begins the "trail of the wave", perhaps the most iconic trace of the area : an incredible panoramic sea view, excavated on the steps of the quarzite of the falsehoods that loom above the port of Alassio. Technical difficulties and a few trialistic passages are compensated by the feeling of floating free between heaven and sea. It relaxes us a little bit, circumventing the Bignone and Pisciavino mountains, and preparing for "The Jungle." Exposed to the north, on the opposite side of the watershed, the ring swirl for softer and booby-sided slopes : a surprising change of scenery. To go back to the valley you can use one of the ridge's multiters. It is located the communal street for the Palazzotto, passes this large abandoned building and, a few metres later, in front of a villa with a curious garitta, begins the descent on selels, with the marked "two red losanges". The first trait does not incite fear, then takes a breath for a few metres on the "red boil" path and the mulattage begins to plunge with a slope no bad. At the end-ruzzled we find ourselves again in the city.
