Langa is not just Barolo wine, it's also hazelnut – how can you best savor this delicious fruit? Obviously by e-bike with a "snack" stop to taste the famous Langhe hazelnut cake! The prized Piemonte I.G.P. Hazelnut in the Tonda Gentile delle Langhe variety lends itself well to many sweet and savory preparations, not to mention its application in seemingly distant fields like cosmetics.
The hazelnuts experience
Serralunga d'Alba is known not only for its fine wines, but also for its hazelnuts. Just outside the ancient village of Serralunga d'Alba you'll find Flavio Baudana. Visitors are transported into an authentic experience, far from those artificial atmospheres specifically designed for tourists, especially thanks to it still being a family-run business today. Grazia, Flavio and Andrea will guide you through the tasting of the prized Piemonte I.G.P. Hazelnut, the Tonda Gentile delle Langhe, along with their soft and delicious hazelnut cake accompanied by a glass of Moscato, which is also produced in the Baudana winery – these are the crown jewel of the experience. Upon request, it's possible to pair the sweet tasting with a savory one enhanced by a glass of Nebbiolo or Barbera.
The hazelnuts E-bike Route
The e-bike route starts from Novello, reaches Monforte and continues to Serralunga d'Alba. We recommend dedicating the entire day to this experience, and thanks to the e-bike, it's accessible even to those who aren't very sporty. The climbs up through the hills, among vineyards and hazelnut groves offer wonderful panoramic views with spectacular vistas: the castles silhouetted on the horizon and the medieval-style villages make the landscape very picturesque. We highly recommend visiting the historic center of Monforte (one of Italy's Most Beautiful Villages) with its amphitheater at the top of the hill and houses perched on the ridge. The bike route continues toward Serralunga d'Alba, whose majestic castle towers make it immediately recognizable, bearing witness to the past of these hills. Just beyond the ancient village, in a panoramic position over the valley, you'll reach Flavio Baudana for the Tonda Gentile delle Langhe hazelnut tasting. Once the experience is finished, you continue toward Castiglione Falletto and Barolo. This route overlooks wonderful panoramic views among some of the most famous castles in this area. Autumn enhances the view by coloring the landscape with warm colors, and the foliage makes the horizon different every day.

With this tour, we shall bring you to discover the city and works of the most famous Slovenian architect, Jože Plečnik.
Plečnik is the main author of Ljubljana's most beautiful buildings, that our expert and passionate guide will show you in details.
Ending the itinerary, we shall stop for lunch at a typical restaurant, close to the Ljubljana Castle, commented by our expert guide.
From The Grand Hotel Union, with our ebikes we shall stop at some places in the city center like Market (Adamič Lundrovo Nabrežje 1), Three Bridges (Prešerov trg 1) and Congress Squre (Kongresni trg 15).
Later on, we are going to focus on his works outside of the city center. We shall reach the area of Tivoli park (Celovška cesta 23) , riding along Roman walls (Mirje 19), reaching Krakovo and his residential area Trnovo (Karunova ulica 4). Here we shall visit his home-museum.
There after, we shall point to the center of the city, close to the Ljubljana Castle. Here we shall stop for lunch at a typical restaurant, where we should be able to taste some Slovenian specialties. The lunch includes a starter, a main course, a dessert and 1 glass oh house wine. Every course will be commented by our expert guide, that will describe you the main characteristics of Slovenian gastronomy.

A flat stage of sea and sand, which from the Pontine capital takes us to the places of the Odyssey, through history, nature and mythology. Mount Circeo, a promontory of incredible beauty stretching out towards the sea as if to testify to its past as an island, is according to tradition one of the landing places of Odysseus during his wanderings, the one where the Greek hero was welcomed by the sorceress Circe. The remains of a Roman temple on its summit were identified with his palace. The third stage of the GTL winds almost entirely along the route of Eurovelo 7, The Sun Route, or the long cycle path of the sun that takes us to the south of Europe A convenient cycle path from Latina takes us to the sea, near the first of the coastal lakes, that of Fogliano, where there is a WWF oasis that is a resting place for many water birds during their migrations. From here we continue through reclamation canals and coastal dunes to the promontory and the National Park, an incredible green lung of eucalyptus, maritime pines and Mediterranean scrub, within which the remains of the Villa of Domitian can still be visited. Skirting the coast to the south, we pass through the seaside resort of San Felice Circeo and its maritime caves, up to the stack of Terracina, a Greek and Roman colony, surmounted by the Temple of Jupiter Anxur. After Terracina, the last kilometers of the stage in the direction of Monte San Biagio try to avoid the Appian Way as much as possible, which after the ancient Papal Gate and the Pisco Montano narrows between the Ausoni and the sea, remaining on dirt roads and dirt roads around Lake Fogliano, in a semi-marshy panorama made up of migratory birds and coastal ponds.

Qui un affioramento di gesso emerso dalle acque del mare circa 6 milioni di anni fa, costituisce un bastione roccioso che taglia trasversalmente le vallate circostanti. Fin dal tempo dei romani, si estraevano i grossi cristalli traslucidi di selenite per farvi i vetri delle finestre. Brisighella e il suo centro storico con la rocca e la torre dell'orologio, figura nella lista dei borghi piu belli d'Italia ed offre le tipiche eccellenze gastronomiche romagnole, oltre al pregiato olio che si produce solo nel suo territorio.

The following text and the linked "hikes" routes are part of the Gallo Nero Bike Day event on last 20th September 2020. Together with the organising body we decided to let the routes be available all year round, hoping that more and more people decide to cycle on our roads. If you want to visit wineries, restaurants and businesses who joined the event, please call in advance because special menus and prices and opening times may vary without notification.
The ride is easy: starting from Greve in Chianti, the route passes through the hamlets of Greti- Passo dei Pecorai- Ferrone. Leaving behind the last houses in Ferrone, cyclists will then turn left to tackle the one and only climb, the uphill road of Luiano (length Km 3,500; elevation difference 3%), which offers a truly classic view of the territory, with vineyards and olive groves. Mercatale is the halfway mark and as the route continues towards the four roads, riders will enjoy panoramic views of the Val di Pesa valley (with San Donato and Tavarnelle) on the right, extending all the way to the countryside surrounding Siena. As the route descends on the downhill road of Leccia, it embraces the traditional Florentine Chianti landscape and participants will take in amazing views while pedaling on vineyard-lined roads, admiring Impruneta, Chiocchio and Strada in Chianti in the distance. A right turn at the end of the slope will bring participants to Greve in Chianti, and back to the beginning of the route after 9 Km on flat roads.

Giro of Assietta is an epic adventure of 67 km that begins in Pragelato and is snowed through some of the most fascinating landscapes in the Alps. The route begins with an uphill that leads to Pian of the Alpe, immersing himself in the woods and alpine meadows, offering breathtaking panoramic views.
After Pian of the Alpe, the path continues along the historic Strada of Assietta, a long dorsal that regains spectacular views on the surrounding valleys. This trait is a true paradise for mountain bike lovers, with its combination of natural beauties and technical challenges.
The culminating point of the round is the Col Basset, from where you enjoy a 360-degree view that sweeps up the alpine tops and the underlying valleys. After a break to admire the panorama and take a few photos, you begin the descent to Sestriere.
The descent is adrenalinic and technical, with steep traits and narrow curves that require skill and concentration. Once you arrive in Sestriere, you continue downhill to Pragelato, completing a ring that combines adventure, nature and history.
This 67 km path is perfect for experienced cyclists who are looking for an exciting challenge, immersed in some of the most beautiful and lesser-known landscapes of the Alps.

Circular cycling tour of a certain difficulty. The route starts from the charming city of Frascati with its splendid sixteenth-century villas, its gardens and its branches. After crossing the historic center you begin to climb towards Mount Tusculum and along dirt roads and ancient paving stones you arrive in the Archaeological Park of ancient Tusculum. After admiring the splendid panorama, proceed towards Rocca Priora, a charming town of castles. Continuing along the woods and crossing narrow paths, you arrive at the famous Pratoni del Vivaro with its pristine beauty. Then you go down a myriad of paths to Nemi. Perhaps the most picturesque village of the castles where, after walking through the historic center and its splendid terraces, you begin to descend along a stretch of Via Francigena. From here begins the most difficult stretch for expert bikers. We go up to Castel Gandolfo, the Pope's summer residence, along the coast of Lake Albano with its breathtaking views. Afterwards we arrive in the city of Marino with its alleys. The tour ends passing through Grottaferrata with its Abbey of San Nilo to arrive in Frascati

Questo percorso, che attraversa si l'Appennino Ligure che quello Piemontese, ripercorre in gran parte le strade dell'Appennino Bike Tour ( promosso dal Ministero dell’Ambiente e Tutela del Territorio e del Mare, Confcommercio Imprese per l’Italia, Confcommercio Ascom Bologna e Vivi Appennino e per la prima volta viene percorso istituzionalmente nel 2017 dai rappresentanti di Istituzioni del territorio portando il drappo tricolore da Municipio a Municipio.),il Giro ,che nasce con il progetto di creare un Ciclo-Via d’Italia attraverso le strade secondarie dell’Appennino.
La partenza avviene nel punto di noleggio Bike Square di Cabella Ligure,di qui percorrendo la statale 140 si attraversa iL comune di Albera Ligure e da qui si gira a sinistra e si attraversa il centro abitato di Rocchetta ligure,da qui il percorso si fa piu' impegnativo ,ma decisamente piu' panoramico e si attraversa il comune di Roccaforte Ligure e Isola del Cantone ,qui l'impegno e' discontinuo ma elevato,ma il panorama e la natura incontaminata fa presto dimenticare la fatica.Attraversato l'abitato di Isola del Cantone ,si prosegue verso Ronco Scrivia (uno dei 40 comuni tappa del tour (Ronco Scrivia -Brallo di Pergola),da qui si entra nel Comune di Vobbia facente parte del Parco Regionale Regionale Naturale dell'Antola .Attraversato l'abitato del piccolo comune di Vobbia, si imbocca la strada sp.81 si trova circa a meta' strada tra l'abitato di Vobbia e la localita' Mulino di Salata di Mongiardino Ligure,che segna il confine tra Liguria e Piemonte sulla strada che conduce in Val Borbera. Attraversato un ponte e superato sulla sinistra il bivio per Arezzo, si costeggia sulla destra, il torrente Valenzona,sfiorando piccoli borghi rurali.Il territorio e' scarsamente popolato,la strada attraversa una serie di macchie boschive ,in prevalenza di latifoglie, interrotte da zone prative.Il fondo e' in buono stato fino a Valenzona .
Benche' la metasia ancora lontana ,appare gia' la Cappella di San Fermo ,altissima sul monte, qui oltre ad entrare nel territorio Piemontese e nel nascente Parco dell'alta Val Borbera, qui si attraversano sia i comuni di Mongiardino Ligure , Carrega Ligure .Il Valico di San Fermo si trova sotto la Cappella di San Fermo(1177 m )che e' raggiungibile grazie ad un ripido sentiero.Da qui si gode di una spettacolare vista sull'Appennino e sulle Alpi Occidentali.Il valico e' posto sul crinale dell'Antola, lungo un 'antica via del sale .Da qui si torna al punto di noleggio di Cabella Ligure.

I Piani Resinelli sono adagiati su una grande sella ai piedi del Gruppo delle Grigne. Dalla loro posizione privilegiata si può godere di un’incomparabile vista che dominando la pianura sottostante, il lago di Lecco ed i bacini dell'Alta Brianza arriva fino al Monte Rosa. Il Massiccio delle Grigne è raggiungibile attraverso diversi percorsi con partenza dai Piani Resinelli. I Piani Resinelli toccano la quota media di 1300 metri sul livello del mare, sono raggiungibili in pochi minuti di automobile, noi con le nostre e-bike partendo da Malgrate dobbiamo prevedere non meno di un'oretta e mazza per la sola ascesa. Il percorso é interamente su asfalto, e nel tratto sino all'abitato di Ballabio dobbiamo considerare che si pedalerè su una strada parecchio trafficata, ( soprattutto nel fine settimana) mentre nella parte successiva la strada diventa più stretta e meno caotica.

Partendo dal punto di noleggio ebike di Mongiardino Ligure,si segue la stradina "via Crêuza" che ripercorre l' antica VIA DELLA SALATA. Il nome dice tutto.Era una delle strade dove le carovane di muli carichi di sale, erano diretti verso la Lombardia e il Piemonte.Arrivati alla frazione di Costa Salata ,si prosegue atrraverso uno stretto bivio che sale a sinistra, segnallato da una freccia di legno. Qui si abbandona lo sterrato,e la stradina sale tranquillamente, vi sono piccoli tratti in cui il terreno e' sconnesso ed e' raccomandabile ,scendere e spingere per il breve tratto l' e-bike,in alcuni punti vi sono delle pozzanghere.La stradina si immerge in un bosco di castagni.A un certo punto si incontra un grande prato verde ,girando a sinistra si entra in quel che rimane del paese e della piccola chiesetta dedicata a San Pasquale.
Ritornati nella strada principale si prosegue verso Borassi ,Frazione di Roccaforte Ligure . Il percorso prosegue verso Montemanno, e qui si gode di una bellissima vista sulla Val Sisola e sui vigneti di Timorasso,Arrivati a Sisola si rientra pedalando lungo la strada ormai asfaltata.

L’itinerario ci porterà nella splendida riserva naturale del Bosco delle Pianelle, un’area boschiva caratterizzata da una ricca vegetazione e dalla presenza di fauna avicola. Il bosco che si estende per circa 600 ettari si raggiunge dopo una pedalata panoramica nelle campagne della murgia; giunti nella riserva si percorreranno diversi sentieri alcuni dei quali davvero spettacolari. L’escursione prevede la sosta in masseria situata all’interno dell’area boschiva con degustazione di prodotti tipici. Si conclude con il rientro a Martina Franca.

This pleasant and flat bike tour will take you to discover Staffarda Abbey by guiding you on a pleasant loop that winds along the slopes of Monbracco. The loop passes through the municipalities of Paesana, Barge, Martiniana Po and Sanfront, leading you to discover the historical and gastronomic wealth of this area.
What to see in Barge
The town of Barge has a very ancient history, as testified by the rock engravings found on the summit of Monte Bracco (often shortened to Monbracco). It is from the 1400s that Barge began a flourishing development mainly thanks to the quarrying industry of construction rocks from the slopes of Monbracco. Even Leonardo Da Vinci in one of his manuscripts mentions this mountain, describing it as a site for the production of a "stone as white as Carrara marble and as hard as porphyry", hence the nickname Montagna di Leonardo (Leonardo's Mountain). Barge can also boast many fine monuments and churches, such as the parish church of San Giovanni Battista, the ruins of the Lower Castle and the medieval streets of the old town centre.
What to see in Staffarda
Pedalling along secondary roads immersed in green fields, you reach the abbey of Santa Maria di Staffarda. Founded in the early 12th century by the Order of Cistercian monks on land donated by Marquis Manfredo I of Saluzzo. The abbey consists of several buildings including an impressive Romanesque/Gothic cloister, a guesthouse and a covered market. Since the Middle Ages, it has been an important centre for trade, also favoured by the products obtained from the reclamation of the surrounding farmland desired by the monks. In 1690, it suffered serious damage following the battle between the Savoy and French who were fighting over the territory of Saluzzo. It was then rebuilt in the first decades of the 18th century, altering its typical Gothic forms.
What to see in Sanfront
Leaning against the walls of Monbracco, under a rocky outcrop, stands Balma Boves, a charming hamlet where time seems to have stopped in the Middle Ages and which recalls the villages of the pueblos navajos. In fact, the last inhabitants of this village abandoned it in the 1950s when its location was unsuitable for modern life. Today, transformed into an eco-museum, it reminds us of when man, in these valleys, still lived in perfect harmony with nature, knowing how to exploit natural resources without abusing them.

The second stage of the GTL flattens out towards the Agro Pontino, leaving behind the reliefs of the Alban Hills. Leaving Velletri, we move away from the course of the Appian Way along secondary roads in the countryside dotted with vines, still following the Via Francigena del Sud and the Eurovelo 7 route. Before entering the beautiful village of Giulianello, we skirt the lake of the same name along dirt roads and dirt roads, to avoid the dangerous and busy provincial road not far away. A few more pedal strokes and we are in Cori, where you can visit the wonderful Temple of Hercules. Continuing, the descent towards the expanses and the reclamation canals take us to what were once the fiefdoms of the Caetani family, up to one of the most beautiful gardens in Italy, the Oasis of Ninfa. From here to the Abbey of Valvisciolo, a masterpiece of the Cistercian, the road is short, and a few kilometers further on we can face the climb to the fortress of Sermoneta and stop at the medieval castle of the Caetani family. The last kilometers of the route are all flat, and pass first through the Latina Scalo station, and then arrive in the cradle of Rationalism.

Si tratta di un percorso che parte e termina da Roselle e passa anche da Batignano per arrivare alla Città Etrusca.
Si parte da Roselle, dal punto di noleggio di bici elettriche BikeSquare; ci si dirige attraverso la ciclabile verso Nomadelfia e andando verso Batignano ci si può fermare per ammirare il panorama che affaccia verso Grosseto.
Che cosa vedere a Nomadelfia
A Nomadelfia vale la pena farci un salto e girare liberamente tra le vie della comunità, per osservare il loro stile di vita.
La comunità di Nomadelfia nacque da un’idea di don Zeno Saltini che si impegnò, negli anni della seconda guerra mondiale, a dare una casa ai numerosi bambini che gli orrori della guerra rendeva orfani. Non quindi un orfanotrofio classico, bensì una sorta di famiglia allargata. Da allora quel senso di solidarietà è cresciuto mantenendo in vita una comunità che rappresenta un modello di virtù per molti credenti.
Da Nomadelfia, arriviamo a Batignano passando dalla diga.
Che cosa vedere Batignano
Batignano è un caratteristico borgo che conserva resti della cinta muraria, con torri e porte, e un cassero, oltre ad un loggiato a tre arcate, costruito con materiali di reimpiego, probabilmente provenienti da Roselle; tutto ciò conferisce al paese un certo tono di antichità. Da segnalare, anche, la presenza di una pieve e di un antico convento, oramai sconsacrato, situato fuori dall'abitato.
Il ritorno Batignano, Città Etrusca, Roselle
Tornando indietro da Batignano, passiamo da una strada alberata molto caratteristica per arrivare alla Città Etrusca.
L'antica città etrusca di Roselle sorgeva su un’altura che consentiva il controllo dell’intera piana di Grosseto. Visitando il sito la prima cosa che colpisce è l’imponente cinta muraria che fu costruita dagli Etruschi, è possibile vedere anche i resti del quartiere artigianale etrusco ed all’esterno del perimetro murario si trova poi la necropoli con tombe a camera, a pozzetto e a fossa.
Tornando verso Roselle percorrendo la ciclabile e attraversando il paese si possono osservare Le Terme di Roselle, una stazione termale non funzionante del comune di Grosseto. Si tratta del più antico stabilimento termale della Maremma che risale all'epoca romana quando Roselle era un importante città dell'Impero con tanto di foro, anfiteatro e basilica.

This path allows you to move from one ebike rental point to another, so that you have at your disposal not only the routes and GPS tracks starting from Chiusano San Domenico, but also those with origin at the Avellino cycle station in Contrada San Lorenzo, Atripalda.
This route can be cycled either one way or the other, depending on where you are. The GPS track is a little over 16 km long and takes about 2 hours to cover if it is travelled from Atripalda to Chiusano San Domenico; it will take about 1 hour if it is travelled downhill, i.e. from Chiusano San Domenico to Atripalda.
The road does not present any type of difficulty, so it can be tackled with all types of e-bike available for hire: city, trekking and full suspension e-MTB. By following the GPS track, you will avoid passing along the busier Strada Statale 7, also known as Vecchia Ofantina, preferring an itinerary that is more pleasant to follow and with less risk.
The following description was created assuming departure from the Atripalda rental point, at the Avellino cycle station. If, on the other hand, you depart from the Chiusano San Domenico hire point, all the information remains valid, inverting - naturally - their nature.
Leaving the Ciclostazione Avellino behind you, you only need to pedal your e-bike for 1 km to leave the bustling traffic of the city of Atripalda and take the SP5 after 200 metres uphill.
For almost 4 km you can enjoy the beauty of pedalling on a road that is not at all difficult, made up of pleasant ups and downs with small, short climbs followed by short downhill stretches. Although it has been replaced by the faster and more convenient motorway link, this road connects Atripalda and Serino and, therefore, may be affected by vehicular traffic: keep to the right in single file and pay attention.
After 3.7 km the navigator will ask you to turn left onto SP17. Here begins a 2 km climb, with no steep slopes. At the end of the climb, you will enjoy a beautiful view of the Sabato valley and some magnificent vineyards. It is here, from these rows of vines, that some of Irpinia's finest wines are obtained, especially Fiano di Avellino. If you feel like it and if you have time, explore the surroundings in search of the most beautiful landscapes.
A beautiful descent will take you first to Sorbo Serpico and then to Salza Irpina, where you will have to face a short but steep climb to exit the town and turn right. For 500 metres you will ride on the SS7, with the village of Salza Irpina on your right, before turning left onto a secondary road with zero traffic. Relax and enjoy the pleasant climb (2 km) on your pedal-assisted bike. You will cross a dense and lush forest of beech and chestnut trees while maintaining a steady and decidedly rideable gradient. When you pass under an overpass and the forest gives way to a splendid panorama, it means that the climb is almost over. On your left you will have a wide view of Irpinia, with the Partenio Park, Montevergine and many small villages; on your left vineyards, countryside and the beauty of Monte Tuoro.
At the end of the road, turn right to join the SP39, which will take you to Chiusano San Domenico. When you come to a nice view (unfortunately transennined due to a landslide when this information sheet was written), it will mean you are entering the village. Go straight on, past Borgo Ripa (the old historic centre of Chiusano San Domenico, home of the journalist Carlo Nazzaro), the town square) and you have arrived. On the right, you will notice the orange sign of Reveló, the bike and rental point in Chiusano San Domenico of Ciclostazione Avellino.

Continuiamo lungo le pendici delle prime colline tra i vigneti del Sangiovese per tornare verso Faenza. Per chi volesse, in città il Museo Internazionale della Ceramica offre una splendida collezione di pezzi unici dell'arte maiolicara che rese Faenza famosa in tutto il mondo.
