A little further Marrone Winery can show its woderful cellar where the Barolo wine is aged. Have a wine-tasting experience on the terrace.

Mongiana Between Nature and History

Exciting tour near the Nemi's lake, the wildest and the most adventouros between the Castelli's lakes, where nature dominates uncontested. During the itinerary you can visit the Nemus farm along the lake's bank, where the staff organises special plays in their " straw theatre" every saturday evening. Passing through the city of Nemi you can visit the famous "boat museum". next we arrive to Genzano and Rocca di Papa and we return to the base.
Il meglio delle basiliche romane "Il percorso, lungo sedici miglia, fu diviso in due giornate, con la partenza, la sera del mercoledì, dalla chiesa di San Girolamo della Carità. Attraversato ponte San’Angelo si faceva visita ai malati dell’ospedale di Santo Spirito. Quindi il corteo si raccoglieva presso la basilica di San Pietro, prima tappa della visita. La mattina seguente, di buon’ora, l’appuntamento era nella basilica di San Paolo, da dove si percorreva la via ancora oggi chiamata delle Sette Chiese e si giungeva a San Sebastiano per partecipare alla Messa. Nei periodi di maggiore affluenza la celebrazione eucaristica ebbe luogo a Santo Stefano Rotondo sul Celio. Seguiva l’omelia di Filippo, o di altri religiosi, quindi la refezione. Nei primi anni si fermavano alla vigna Savelli, nei pressi della Caffarella. Col tempo divenne abituale la fermata al giardino Mattei, in quella che oggi si chiama Villa Celimontana. Poi si dirigevano verso la Scala Santa e San Giovanni in Laterano e proseguivano per Santa Croce in Gerusalemme. Attraverso Porta Maggiore il corteo usciva di nuovo dalla cinta muraria arrivando all’Agro Verano, dov’è la basilica di San Lorenzo. Rientrando infine in città il corteo volgeva all’ultima tappa dell’itinerario: Santa Maria Maggiore. Qui, dopo un ultimo raccoglimento, i partecipanti si congedavano intonando la Salve Regina.
Si parte dal punto di noleggio BikeSquare di Gavi e si attraversa il centro storico in direzione Novi Ligure. Appena al di fuori dal borgo si può visitare un mulino ad acqua ancora funzionate. Si riprende l'anello ripercorrendo la via principale, Via G. Mameli, e poi svoltando a destra in corrispondenza della Parrocchiale di S. Giacomo. Si percorre la S.P. 170 in direzione del paese di Bosio, attraversando il ponte sul torrente Lemme. Superato Bosio si raggiunge il bivio con la S.P. 165. E' la panoramica strada che porta in località Eremiti. Si tratta di un'area attrezzata pianeggiante nota per una Cappella votiva e punto di partenza per escursioni a piedi verso la suggestiva vetta del Monte Tobbio. Qui si svolta in direzione Voltaggio, un antico borgo che merita sicuramente una visita. Da Voltaggio si rientra a Gavi, attraverso la S.P. 160 che lambisce il paese di Carrosio.

Novello, the final point of your tour, welcomes you with its quiet and authentic atmosphere. In the historic centre, you can admire the Castle, albeit only from the outside. The main square is ideal for an outdoor picnic, perhaps with local products purchased in the village shops. For the more curious, a visit to the Wine Shop will allow you to discover Nascetta, a native white wine, whilst children can taste non-alcoholic grape juices.

A easy ride in the countryside right outside the city centre.
After crossing the historical city centre, the itinerary reaches Valpantena, the first valley in the east of Verona, and follows little roads among the vineyards, at the bottom of the hills. It reaches Montorio, a small village that features beautiful little lakes and is crossed by small creeks. We follow a nice bike path that runs along a creek, from where we can enjoy beautiful views over the surrounding countryside. The itinerary crosses the outskirts of Verona and reaches the river Adige.
Finally, we ride along the river Adige banks until we reach the city centre.

L’itinerario ad anello si sviluppa nel territorio sub urbano/rurale a sud dell’abitato di Caltanissetta. Lungo il percorso si attraversano paesaggi collinari, interrotti da rilievi rocciosi, campi cerealicoli, mandorleti, vigneti, pescheti ed uliveti. Lungo la ciclopasseggiata sono previste due tappe fondamentali:
Visita guidata dell’antico Borgo rurale di Santa Rita, che sorge su uno sperone roccioso e ha una fondazione datata nel 1895. Abitato ormai da pochissimi abitanti dediti all’agricoltura e alla pastorizia, questo piccolo Borgo è oggi celebre per il pane del forno “Santa Rita” di Maurizio Spinello e della sua famiglia ritenuto, sin dal 1999, tra i migliori al mondo e fatto esclusivamente di grani antichi siciliani e farine biologiche. I prodotti ottenuti da queste farine hanno proprietà nutrizionali e organolettiche uniche grazie all’alto contenuto proteico e all’alta digeribilità. Il grano antico siciliano, infatti, è povero di glutine e ricco di proteine. Tutto ciò fa di questo piccolo agglomerato di case di pietra un luogo di forte attrazione. Il pane è una vera e propria eccellenza isolana ed è frutto di una memoria antica della famiglia Spinello, una delle poche rimaste in questo borgo abitato in passato da oltre trecento persone.
Visita dell’azienda vitivinicola “Tenute dell’Abate”, che con i suoi 62 ettari di vigneti allevati a controspalliera e potati a cordone speronato è una importante realtà vinicola dell’entroterra siciliano.

Monforte d'Alba captivates you with its medieval charm. Climb the ancient cobbled streets of the upper town, amid historic houses and rose-filled flowerbeds. The natural amphitheatre of the village offers an unforgettable panoramic spectacle. From Monforte, continue towards Castiglione Falletto, enjoying breathtaking views and the opportunity to taste fine wines in the area's cellars.
Castiglione Falletto
Castiglione Falletto, perched on a hill, is a gem to discover. Its medieval castle dominates the surrounding landscape, offering a spectacular view of the vineyards. Stroll through the narrow streets of the village, admiring the ancient stone houses and breathing in the authentic atmosphere of a Langhe village. Don't forget to taste the Barolo Rocche di Castiglione DOCG, produced in this area. From Castiglione, continue towards Barolo.
Barolo
Barolo, the world capital of its namesake wine, is an unmissable stop. The e-bikes will allow you to reach it comfortably. Explore the historic centre and visit Falletti Castle, home to the WiMu (Wine Museum). Percorso ad anello sulle tracce dei Franchi e dei pellegrini salendo all'imponente Sacra di San Michele per poi ridiscendere fino ai Laghi e al borgo medioevale di Avigliana lungo un tratto del Sentiero dei Principi.
Il percorso parte da Sant'Ambrogio per risalire la valle lungo l'inaspettata Strada Segreta del Diacono Martino che attraversa Chiusa San Michele e Vaie per raggiungere Sant'Antonino di Susa da dove si imbocca la strada che sale alla frazione Cresto.
Superato il Cresto la strada si inerpica lungo il boscoso versante nord della valle, seguendo una lunga serie di tornanti fino a raggiungere le borgate di Folatone e Bennale, da dove si possono godere suggestivi scorci panoramici sulla valle e sulla Sacra. Di qui, per un breve tratto di strada non asfaltata si arriva al Colle Braida (1007 m. slm) per poi riscendere sulla carrozzabile fino alla Sacra di San Michele... un vera e propria opera di arte sacra e architettura medioevale, permeata di storia, che vale la pena visitare, magari dopo esservi ristorati e aver ricaricato le batterie alla Cascina dei Canonici, un agriturismo immerso nel verde poco lontano dalla Sacra. La discesa prosegue poi imboccando il Sentiero dei Principi che vi porterà alla borgata Mortera passando dall'azienda agricola Carlo Guerra. Subito dopo Mortera è possibile fare una visita alla Certosa di San Francesco prima di proseguire la discesa fino a raggiungere la strada ciclabile che entra nel Parco dei Laghi di Avigliana e, costeggiando il Lago Grande, aggiunge il centro storico, sovrastato dalle rovine del Castello, da cui si può tornare a Sant'Ambrogio lungo vicoli e strade secondarie che rivelano angoli poco conosciuti di Avigliana tra cui il famoso Dinamitificio Nobel.

The 5-stage e-bike tour starts in Rome at the Terme di Caracalla, following the ancient Roman road known as the Appia Antica, on cobblestones and basalt stones, passing by tombs, churches, mausoleums, villas, and milestones, eventually reaching Santa Maria delle Mole. It's like cycling through an open-air museum on an endless bike path. At times, the route merges with the Via Appia Nuova, which overlaps with the ancient one, a perfect example of the historical stratification of the area. You'll reach the Castelli Romani passing through Albano, Genzano, Ariccia, Nemi, Lanuvio on a partly dirt and ancient path that follows the terrain's orography from Genzano to Lanuvio. From Terracina to the Mar Tirreno
The third and fourth stages of the e-bike tour along the Appia Antica reach Terracina, where you'll find the temple of Jupiter Anxur, a particular testimony to the city's ancient history. The ride continues on ancient limestone cobblestones reaching the Appia Nuova through the towns of Monte San Biagio and Fondi. From Fondi, you'll travel perhaps the best-preserved stretch of the Appia Antica, crossing a Roman bridge, tombs, and milestones (pay attention to a closed wooden gate that needs to be crossed with your e-bike). There are multiple panoramic views of the Mar Tirreno along this stretch, and if desired, you can stop at the beach to relax listening to the waves while enjoying local fish-based dishes.
From Fondi to Formia
The last stage of the e-bike tour reaches Itri, a picturesque medieval village where a visit to the medieval castle is recommended. Cycling along narrow streets allows you to immerse yourself in history, transporting your mind and imagination back in time. After visiting with e-bikes, continue on the Appia Antica towards beautiful Formia with its promenade and historic center perched on a hill, its historic sites, and characteristic views. The tour from Rome to Formia along the Appia Antica concludes; for the return journey, taking the train is recommended. In the center of Formia is a train station where you can catch a train every hour back to Rome Termini in 1h30.

After Nardò, it touches Galatone, with its borgo dominated by the Sanctuary of the Crucifix, and then passes from Sannicle and Alezio. Si parte dal punto di noleggio BikeSquare di Casaleggio Boiro per compiere un anello sul quale tragitto si potranno vedere quattro castelli particolarmente suggestivi. Il percorso si svolge su strada asfaltata, da Lerma fino a Strada Bellaria e poi in Strada Casale Bacchetti. Si arriva all'abitato di Silvano D'Orba e si costeggia la collina del Castello. Si attraversa il caratteristico borgo connotato dal suo imponente castello e noto per le sue distillerie di grappa. Si ritorna risalendo i tornanti percorrendo una strada sterrata panoramica che si ricongiunge a Strada Bellaria. Si svolta a destra nella sterrata “Cascina Canali” fino ad arrivare al ponte sul torrente Piota. Si arriva alla S.P. 172 che si percorre svoltando a destra per circa 300 m per poi attraversare e prendere la strada asfaltata che porta a Tagliolo Monferrato, antico borgo medioevale che sorge intorno al castello, composto da strette viuzze, muri in pietra ed archivolti, con la casa del boia e la Chiesa di S. Maria Annunziata, antica parrocchiale.

La chiesa più antica è S. Vito, situata all'interno del cimitero, che fu la prima parrocchia del paese. L'attuale parrocchia è San Nicolò, nella piazza prospiciente il Castello, con un campanile in pietra arenaria lavorato a sbalzo. Da Tagliolo si ritorna a Lerma percorrendo la S.P. 170 e da lì si rientra a Casaleggio.
