The Story of the Winery

It all began in 2002: there was a need to save from abandonment and the wild advance of photovoltaic fields on agricultural land some vineyards of Negroamaro and Primitivo inherited from their elderly winemaker parents. It would have been simple and profitable to sell or uproot those vineyards, but everything took a different turn. Three friends decided to bet on that ambitious and incredible project: on July 18, 2002, they founded the Feudi di Guagnano winery. 

From day one, the daily work of Gianvito, Carlo, and Franco has taken place among the vines and barrels, riding tractors and bikes alongside their collaborators and the numerous wine lovers and cyclists who visit them throughout the year.

Welcoming Cyclists

Riding slowly through the Lands of Negroamaro by bicycle is always an extraordinary experience. A slow journey, in contact with nature, where the senses awaken at every turn to touch sun-kissed vineyards and lush fields filled with vines, figs, almond trees, and pomegranates, in a landscape where the green of spontaneous vegetation blends with the red of the earth. 

And then stopping at the winery, at Feudi di Guagnano, where the reward for all that effort is guaranteed. Here you can relax and conclude the experience with a tasting of our fine wines paired with typical products that encapsulate the gastronomic soul of our land.
