Si parte dal centro di Roma dove un tempo nasceva l’Appia Antica da Porta Capena , da lì si percorre la Regina Viarum con i suoi basolati sconnessi e ricchi di storia lungo la Ciclabile Eurovelo 7. Si arriva così a Cecilia Metella per poi procedere verso i Castelli Romani ammirando lungo il tragitto la Villa Dei Quintili, S.Maria Nova, Torretta del prete ecc. ecc. ecc. Si sale lentamente verso Albano attraversando parti di campagna romana e per poi scoprire le antiche vestigia di Albalonga con Il suo Museo diocesano , Il Cisterneone ecc. Sempre seguendo l’antico tracciato si arriva ad Ariccia con la tomba degli Orazi e Curiazi scendendo verso la valle aricia , si risale poi nell’antico centro storico dove ammirare l’imponete Palazzo Chigi e la meravigliosa Locanda Martorelli .E’ forse proprio in questi posti poco conosciuti dove riassaporiamo l’antico fascino “del Grand Tour " che persone da tutta Europa cercavano di riscoprire nel loro viaggio in Italia . Qui ad Ariccia ci fermiamo per una speciale degustazione della celeberrima porchetta con un bel bicchiere di vino .Si prosegue poi verso Castel Gandolfo il pittoresco paese con il suo Palazzo Pontificio e i suoi meravigliosi Giardini . Dopo avere completato il giro si procede verso la Stazione di treni ad Albano e comodamente si ritorna a Roma

THE ITINERARY OF THE POPES AND THE OLD ROME FIUGGI RAILWAY
We are on one of the most demanding stages of the entire GTL, 80 km for about 1200 m of elevation gain. However, the route offers the possibility of being further fragmented, since several railway stations are located along the route and you can therefore use the bike transport service by train to shorten the journey.On the other hand, this stage offers a huge historical and cultural heritage, as well as sections of the existing cycle path, the route of the former Rome-Fiuggi railway. Starting from Frosinone, we continue to follow the route of the Eurovelo 5 Romea/Francigena, and we reach the village of Ferentino; from here begins the first of the climbs that characterize the course of the GTL7: the first objective is the village of Fumone, which overlooks the Ernici Mountains, on the top of which stands the imposing Castle owned by the Caetani family, the same as Boniface VIII: here Celestine V was imprisoned and spent his last days, the one who out of cowardice made the great refusal according to Dante; A gloomy and sinister place, it has originated various legends of ghosts over the centuries.From here we continue to the quiet Lake Canterno, until we go up towards Fiuggi, a well-known spa, where we can follow the route of the old railway that until a few decades ago led to Rome: today it is a marked cycle path that passes one after the other the stations of the past, sheltered from the traffic of the Via Prenestina.With a detour it is worth reaching Anagni, another delightful papal village rich in architecture and art.Acuto, Piglio, Serrano, and the route reserved for bicycles is interrupted: avoiding the Prenestina, we continue on Eurovelo 5 which leads us to other wonderful medieval towns such as Gimignano, Genazzano and Cave, ancient papal fiefdoms and a pilgrimage destination for writers such as Gregorovius, and above all Palestrina, whose Temple of Fortuna Primigenia stands out as one of the major pagan sanctuaries of Roman times. From this area there are also many beautiful roads towards the Prenestini Mountains, to deviate from the course of the GTL and challenge the climbs a bit.We hen end the route in Zagarolo, where there is another railway junction for Rome

Il percorso conduce al centro abitato di San Demetrio Corona, paese di importanza storico culturale per tutti gli Arbëreshë. Qui sarà possibile visitare il complesso monastico unico nel Mezzogiorno: San Adriano, di origine Bizantino dove sono custoditi mosaici di rara bellezza.
Il percorso di ritorno attraversa la piccola frazione di Macchia Albanese che custodisce una parte importante della storia albanese in Italia.
Il percorso è medio impegnativo...ma con la bici elettrica sarà (quasi) una passeggiata!

This ebike route runs between ancient hamlets and breathtaking mountain landscapes at the foot of the 'King of Stone', Monviso.
This itinerary is divided into two loops that can be cycled together or separately.
The first is simpler and climbs the slope towards Pian Munè, passing through the hamlets of Croesio, Borghini, Salis and Rocciaia, along secondary dirt roads and then descending to Paesana along the tarmac road.
The second loop, recommended for experienced cyclists, starts from Pian Munè and reaches Mount Turnour at an altitude of 1,554 metres. It then descends along well-maintained but challenging mountain dirt roads to the villages of Serre and Oncino and from there, via the provincial road, to Paesana.
In this itinerary, thanks to the aid of e-bikes, you can reach one of the most beautiful panoramic balconies towards the plains of Turin and Cuneo, Pian Munè. It is the ideal place for a quiet break away from the worries of the city after a pleasant ride that nonetheless has quite a bit of elevation gain. From there, our advice is to take the easy dirt road to Monte Turnour and continue a few hundred metres until Monviso appears in all its majesty, with its 3841 metres of altitude.
The descent from Pian Munè towards the hamlets of Serre and Oncino passes from the high-altitude meadows full of flowers in spring to the beech and chestnut woods surrounding the two hamlets.

I Piani Resinelli sono adagiati su una grande sella ai piedi del Gruppo delle Grigne. Dalla loro posizione privilegiata si può godere di un’incomparabile vista che dominando la pianura sottostante, il lago di Lecco ed i bacini dell'Alta Brianza arriva fino al Monte Rosa. Il Massiccio delle Grigne è raggiungibile attraverso diversi percorsi con partenza dai Piani Resinelli. I Piani Resinelli toccano la quota media di 1300 metri sul livello del mare, sono raggiungibili in pochi minuti di automobile, noi con le nostre e-bike partendo da Malgrate dobbiamo prevedere non meno di un'oretta e mazza per la sola ascesa. Il percorso é interamente su asfalto, e nel tratto sino all'abitato di Ballabio dobbiamo considerare che si pedalerè su una strada parecchio trafficata, ( soprattutto nel fine settimana) mentre nella parte successiva la strada diventa più stretta e meno caotica.

The journey starts from Racale and when you reach the coast, you cycle along the historic roads that run alongside the basins, a colossal reclamation work that saved this land from ancient evils such as malaria, returning fertile land to the people of Salento.
The municipalities that are crossed along this loop are: Ugento, Gemini, Torre San Giovanni, Posto Rosso, Capilungo, Torre Suda.
The route mainly develops on asphalt (about 90%) and on low-traffic roads for almost the entire route. Please note that in the months of July and August, the stretch of the coastal road from Torre San Giovanni to Posto Rosso (Marina di Alliste) has heavy traffic.

La seconda parte altri 4-5Km sempre di strada asfaltata in assoluta assenza di traffico veicolare dove la pendenza media sale al 8/9% medio
La terza e ultima parte di circa 1-1,5 km la si percorre su di uno stretto nastro in cemento in assoluta assenza di traffico veicolare, qui le pendenze diventano quasi proibitive, media del 12/13% con tratti che tocccano il 23/25%
Una volta giunti in cima si può godere di un panorama fantastico sulla citta di Lecco e ci si puà rilassare al rificio S.E.V.

Arserum-Old Railway Station-Cartiera Rossi

Church of the 'Olmo and Monastery of the Resurrection
The Church of the 'Olmo was the parish church of Cogollo until 1927 and is located in the heart of the old country with the care of the nuns, residing in the nearby monastery, a restored 17 ^ century building. Profollowing for the Alto Trail, it went down to the fraction of Mosson, to then forward to its campaigns and arrive at the chiesette of Sant'Agata, the small jeweller of longtime longobarda. It has the apse facing east, like all the primitive churches, and until 1915 it had next to the cemetery. The structure is at a unique nave, and at the entrance you can read the tarda dedicated in 1970 by the Sant'Agata Brigade.
Ex Railroad Raines Rocchette-Arserum

Meda Castle

SANTA SEVERA / BRACCIANO
In its sixteenth stage, the GTL once again leaves the sea to go inland, in the last stretch towards Rome, one of the most scenic: the Tolfa Mountains, the Sabatini Mountains and the area of the volcanic lakes north of Rome. Leaving Santa Severa and its castle, we take secondary roads in the countryside close to the Aurelia through the Macchiatonda Regional Nature Reserve, up to Cerveteri. Here it is certainly worth stopping for a visit to the splendid Etruscan necropolis of Banditaccia. From here we return to the coast to pass the seaside resorts of Ladispoli and Marina di San Nicola, connected to each other by a cycle path obtained from the route of the old railway line, near the imposing Odescalchi Castle. After San Nicola, the maritime landscape gradually gives way to barren hills first, and then to lush pine forests, until it climbs into the woods in the direction of Castel Giuliano, a few steps from the waterfalls of the same name and its ancient fortress. A little more climb near the Caldare di Manziana and its woods, and the vegetation becomes even thicker: we have reached what was the edge of the volcano, and we can look into the blue of its original crater, Lake Bracciano. The destination of this stage welcomes us in a spectacular way, with its tuff houses piled up and gathered around the imposing Odescalchi Castle.

Donna di Langa
After stopping at Rocche dei Sette Fratelli with the electric bikes, you will reach the Donna di Langa viewpoint in Trezzo Tinella. What to See in Barbaresco
On your e-bike, you will pedal along secondary roads among the rows of Nebbiolo grapes that give rise to the famous and prestigious Barbaresco wine. This wine takes its name from the municipality where it is produced—Barbaresco itself. Upon arriving in the town of Barbaresco, you will find yourself in front of a small but charming village known for its namesake wine, which is one of the most prestigious in Italy. Here, you can visit the Barbaresco Tower, an ancient medieval watchtower that offers spectacular panoramic views of the Tanaro Valley and the surrounding vineyards. Si parte dal punto di noleggio BikeSquare di Gavi e si attraversa il centro storico in direzione Novi Ligure. Appena al di fuori dal borgo si può visitare un mulino ad acqua ancora funzionate. Si riprende l'anello ripercorrendo la via principale, Via G. Mameli, e poi svoltando a destra in corrispondenza della Parrocchiale di S. Giacomo. Si percorre la S.P. 170 in direzione del paese di Bosio, attraversando il ponte sul torrente Lemme. Superato Bosio si raggiunge il bivio con la S.P. 165. E' la panoramica strada che porta in località Eremiti. Si tratta di un'area attrezzata pianeggiante nota per una Cappella votiva e punto di partenza per escursioni a piedi verso la suggestiva vetta del Monte Tobbio. Qui si svolta in direzione Voltaggio, un antico borgo che merita sicuramente una visita. Da Voltaggio si rientra a Gavi, attraverso la S.P. 160 che lambisce il paese di Carrosio.
