The Mezquita (Mosque) of Cordoba is a very peculiar architecture. It's the Roman Catholic cathedral and former mosque at the same time.
In fact, under the rule of Islam, it was built as the second-largest mosque in the world. Then, after the Spanish Reconquista, it was transformed into a church, and some of its columns were replaced by a Baroque basilica.
