Legated to the history of the Waterfall there is also that of its hotel built in 1863.
In 1926 the Society Alberghi Formazza surveying the structure and began a widening work leading the hotel to take on the present-day dimensions.
He commissioned the project the architect Piero Portaluppi who structured the hotel with hot and cold water in all rooms, central heating and many other state-of-the-art services for those times, like the post office and telegraph office.
The Albergo passed first to Montedison and then to the Enel as a residence for their respective employees. In 1973 it was ceded to private individuals who made miniapartments.
Currently it's still open and in its rooms you could find interesting parts of its history.
