Description
In addition to the historical centre and the magnificent Palazzo Filangieri (for information on opening hours contact the municipality), one of the things not to be missed in Lapio is the Giant Bench, Big Bench in English.
To reach this curious installation, ride your ebike about a hundred metres from Palazzo Filangieri. Climb onto this enormous bench to admire the historic centre of Lapio and the Media Valle del Calore from an unusual viewpoint. On one side you will find Monte Tuoro, on the other side Alta Irpinia and Sannio.
Have fun recognising the places and observing the wonderful green of the olive trees and vines of Aglianico and Fiano di Avellino, two of the three DOCG wines of Irpinia.
This bench is part of the Big Bench Community Project and is number 180.
